I think the last alternative would be using DDL like MU or Rapidshare. I am going for Megaupload myself after my internet comes (here). My room mate told me that his downloads slowed down like slowpoke ~30kb/s only for our daily/weekly animes. So, thanks to this thread, now I know that they really did throttle the speed.
Conclusion (from me) : Internet with Megaupload prem account is a big advantage, can download movies without being afraid of throttled speed.

QUOTE(calson @ Aug 19 2010, 04:21 PM) The premium download of megaupload, hotfile and rapidshare is the same. All is throttled . I use premium for all 3 hosting above. All also slow. Yes, read the first page. They throttle based on file type. Precisely - MKV and AVI. If you download something else (other formats) and have slow speed, try changing IP address (disconnect and reconnect) I usually use 124.82 ones, the other day I used 124.13 and speed was retarded til I changed to that 124.82.

QUOTE(idioticppl @ Sep 3 2010, 02:38 PM) damn.. yesterday night my connection even facebook pun macam dun wan to load aje.... then after load, IE say got error on page... ape ni??? Added on September 3, 2010, 3:04 pmanybody having hard time download files from files sharing website like megaupload and hotfile and sharefile....etc? i am trying to download some .rar files, download first 5 seconds ok, then slowly slowly slowly.... die liao... cannot download...speed is at less than 1k..... Use Firefox. and I think Streamyx might have issue ytd lahh. Everybody complaint the same thing about download from 200 then slowly dropped until 0. I also same thing, ask MX510 about my email I sent, I thought it was my account issue, turns out, after resetting modem, it was okay already. Try resetting modem. By the way, changing IP without resetting might not work, it didn't work for me.
