Sorry just saw your card.
GTX275.
If you worry about heat, just replace the cooler.

Try replacing the cooler with Artic Cooling Tri-fan, Thermalright Spitfire, Xigmatek BattleAxe and etc.
Those coolers will disburse the heat from your GPU better than your stock cooling. |

QUOTE(alexision @ Jul 30 2010, 04:02 AM) Hi guys, just an update Probably a better idea to just increase the fan speed or just replace the cooler entirely.I've cap my framerate at 80, highest temp reached is only 75c, average around 70c Gameplay speed n everything didnt get affected at all. xD Gonna try to cap at 70 or maybe 60 to see if the temp goes lower^^ |

QUOTE(I<3LYN @ Jul 30 2010, 02:00 PM) the problem is.. starcraft 2 has a bug that causes GPU overuse even there are nothing graphically intensive to process. It's ok to tax the hardware 100% as long as it is cooled properly.pushing the hardware to its limit even there is nothing to do isn't a good idea. QUOTE(aLertz @ Jul 30 2010, 02:59 PM) i wonder does any GPU got fried due to this bug?? Possible to fry your GPU. However, just open the side panel to let some air in for your GPU.well expect a patch soon enough for all da bugs... Might invite dust as well. QUOTE(buraqdunia @ Jul 30 2010, 05:51 PM) why change? what yr current model? Mine never goes beyond 60c ever.Added on July 30, 2010, 5:54 pm my i know yr gc's highest temp when play SC 2. ? are yr room air conditioned? seem u and me share same gc. and i wander where the hell my SC 2?? Most of the time it hovers around 40-55c even at full load. |

Also cleaning your PC case will help lower the temperature to some extent.
Dust bunnies trap heats. |

QUOTE(aLertz @ Aug 2 2010, 08:44 AM) hmm...mine still ok...although it increase around 10C but never cross 60C so far... 60c is still pretty low anyways.mine is at factory setting...no OC yet so it's quite cool ~ no loud fan noise also... EDIT: 4got to mention i already set the fps cap like stated in earlier post... No need to worry. Generally I find stock cooler fans to be damn noisy. Hence, I always replace my GPU cooler with 3rd party cooler. I am currently using Artic Cooling Tri-fan and it is permanently at 40% fan speed. Furthermore, it never actually hits 60c and it is almost whisper quiet. You can give Artic Cooling dual fans sandwich cooler a try. |
