your comp spec shud be ok. main problem should be your internet speed? cuz in sc2, you are constantly downloading things. you need to download maps b4 playing. (they download automatically and you cant use thumbdrive or wtv shit, internet > everything in sc2 lol, requirement is much higher than gay arena)

i got played once SC2 original packed, now no time to play anymore and i was wondering can SC2 shift to new user?? or have to tied with the existing username??

plan to let it go with low price if above user can be shift.

dears, save me! i cant play starcraft 2 at college i brought my own laptop, i went to speedtest, DL speed 12mbps, UL speed 10mbps, but ping only 12ms? i went to pingtest, cant even finish the test in counting package lost.

i cant log in to battle.net 2.0 =( any pro can help me? i can surf net smoothly, loading youtube without problemo.....just cant connect to battle.net!

hmm hard to say. sc2 is popular after all and they can just ban it on grounds that it isnt academic wwww

facebook and what not runs on generic browser port for example, and if they ban facebook they are pretty much banning all web browsing. unless they ban url (facebook.com) which isnt the case for sc2.

for starters, you could perhaps try vpn/tunneling.

Hi guys, I am going to buy used SC2 for skirmish. Few questions to ask.
1)Do I have to download map everytime prior to play ? Can I save the downloaded maps and play it offline with PC opponents ?

2) I am sure there are 3 races to choose, still I need to confirm. (Worried only can play terran as pirated SC2)

3) How large the patch files are ? Because my connection only 512 via streamyx, afraid got to download fews days in order to play.

1) some maps support offline with AI, some dont

2) derp.

3) depend on blizzard. you can always copy and paste from friend if thats an issue

HELP needed

I cant seem to get past the download map part in mp

This happened after the recent patch. When I try to join a game, it required me to download map( is it normal to do this again after every patch?). When it reaches somewhere 96%, the download indicator dissapears and im left with just nothing to join as the join game becomes unclickable.

I also want to note that everytime i join mp, after a while it states that "there was a problem downloading the content. Please try again later". Well, that happened in the last patch but i still managed to only dwnld my prefered blizzard maps individually.

Any suggestions? I had none of these probs before the latest patch

This happened to me also, what i did was to log off and to re-log in. If still fail to download the same map, then is probably congested (Or any other reason). You can try to download other maps, it should be o.k.

One more solution is you may want to download in less traffic time like early in the morning, it is smooth.

Hi guys, i have one question. I just bought my sc2 copy today. I played 2 games in practice league just now, no problem.

My question: does the prepaid thing apply to me? if so when? so far i'm still able to login.

if you bought a copy of sc2 for like the normal rm200-240 or so, you need not worry about the prepaid payment options

do you have full admin rights/disk write privileges on your profile/data folders as well? (not just the program files\starcraft II folder)

also what OS are you using? have you tried uninstalling, deleting every file (you may back up the profiles) and reinstalling/update?

This happened to me also. The problem is the SEA server traffic.
The game is trying to download and install maps/relevant map files, that's why some buttons are disabled.

The best way to solve this issue is to logon to your North American server and let it download maps/files.
(I do this by joining custom games and allowing the client to download the map)
You should also go to League and press 'Find Match'. The client will download the necessary files. (You can cancel the match search if it starts)

Once you feel that you have all the files, you can logout and relog into SEA server.
