Can anyone confirm if YES4G Go USB dongle works on the RT-N56U with the 3.0.0.4.342 firmware? The Huddle works, so I just want to confirm that the Go also works before I get it.

I just upgraded my RT-N56U to the RT-N66U. For some reason, port forwarding doesn't work. I have an AXIS camera which I access from the WAN. On my previous router, port 80 was forwarded to the camera without any problems, but trying to access the camera from the WAN fails with the new router. Port forwarding is done the same way. I'm using the ASUS dynamic DNS service with the same name (with the old router). Anyone had problems port forwarding with the RT-N66U? The hardware revision is B1, firmware is the latest 3.0.0.5.354.

Nevermind... I figured it out. You can't use the same account on ASUS' dynamic DNS service. Changed the name and it now works.

Now I have another question: is it possible to reuse the original name? Or is it stuck with my RT-N56U router?

Hi kengsim,

May I know you still using the RT-N56U? The DDNS are created by following your WAN private IP/Dynamic IP. If your RT-N66U have the same IP, you can use back the DDNS name.

Thank you

The RT-N66U replaces the RT-N56U completely. However, I noticed that if I use the original name, there's an exclamation mark next to the DDNS: *****.asuscomm.com (!) on the Network Map page. If I use the new name, there's no exclamation mark.

I'm on Unifi, so of course the IP changes, so how am I going to get back the original name? Is there a timeout or expiry for the ddns service?

My RT-N66U just kaput. Two days ago, it started dropping Unifi connection. It wouldn't connect, but if you reboot it, it would be connected for about 1-2 minutes and then drop connection. I replaced it with my old RT-N56U (which still had all the same Unifi settings) and there was no problem with the Unifi connection.

So how do I get support for this? Router was purchased from 3E Trading in Midvalley on 26-Dec-2012.
