I have a noob question here. Say i got the asus rt-n56u. I need to flash it first to use unifi right? Say that the flash didn't work. Can i just use my old crappy tm router back?

Hi ASUSmy,
do i have to flash custom firmware to my asus rt-n56u to use it with unifi? when i flash n setup the device, do i have to connect the device to the modem? |
