Even as a Repeater it still disconnects and hangs, i don't think its Unifi related. Yea the new K firmware isn't a fix, i'm still experiencing the same issues.

Dear Lowyat.NET users,
Here is some of the info needed, hopefully it's not too much to ask. And we deeply appreciate the patience from you guys. Thank you for giving us another chance.

For those who are facing 'hang' problem
1. Are you using USB Storage at the same time? If yes could you provide us the disk format (NTFS/FAT32/EXT3 or others) ?
2. Referring To STC post: “One thing I noticed that while DC the LAN lights flickers steadly but slightly...You have to really watch carefully for the difference while connected and not connected.”  - Is everyone facing this same syndrome as well?
PS: After prysys test the debug device, i'll pass it to STC to test it out. ETA of the device to arrive is tomorrow.

1. i dont have any USB device connected to it.

2. i use it as a repeater so theres no LAN lights to observe

ASUSmy, please i beg you find a proper solution for the N13U users. I paid good money for this product believing in reliability of the company.

Please either upgrade us to a different model or return our money back if the last attempt from prasys still doesn't work. We consumers shouldnt be suffering for a mistake made by the company. Its really destroying our hopes in Asus budget product lines.

Wah ASUSmy, you easily and snappily reply others but nicely ignore my polite plea on page 49 eh.... fantastic PR you have Sir ! Way to go in restoring my faith in Asus.

Those who are using RT-13U , can you describe how you use it

The router acts normal if no heavy connection is involved. Are you guys torrenting or doing any 'heavy' tasks ? Just explain if so , I think I might just know the problem and can point out the fix

Describe the pattern please

I use it as a repeater to repeat the signal of the Unifi D-Link DIR 615.... it works great for two days and then hangs like how the other users here experience with it as their primary router. The internet usage is just web browsing and light downloading like mp3 and all.

where is the solution for the N13U ? How long more do the users of your product have to wait ASUSmy ? Please update us periodically on the progress at least... Never have i seen a company dealt with such an issue so slowly.

ASUSmy i'm aware there has been no useful new firmware for the N13U B1, thats my problem. How many times must i return my router only to get back the exact same problematic unit ?

Its not right for me to have to flash DD-WRT, like that means i'm already doing part of the job that ASUS was suppose to do. I know you're just an employee and you don't call the shots, i truly appreciate the fact that you have taken the time to address other issues on this forum voluntarily.

However all this doesn't make what ASUS has done right, how will other users trust this brand's mainstream networking products again ? I know i won't ever recommend it again thats for sure. Asus should at least offer to take back these defective routers and flash DD-WRT for the users or at least be doing something else for those affected.

Because if this is how things are gonna remain then its akin to not even providing warranty to the customer right ? It can't be called warranty if the product keeps malfunctioning over and over again. Which should be illegal in some ways. If this were to happen in America, Europe, or Australia, ASUS would be sued for millions ready by now.
