QUOTE(BladeRider88 @ Jan 28 2013, 09:45 AM) Hi, I have successfully flash RT-N13U B1 with OpenWRT. You have downloaded the correct firmware "openwrt-ramips-rt305x-rt-n13u-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin"But you need to upload the firmware via ASUS Restoration Utility. If you read KLSeet instructions, he did mention about it. Anyway, can you tell me you stuck at which process so that i can assist you easily. Thank you for the reply. After carefully read the instruction, and since his instruction to 'upgrade' the firmware is from the TP-link model, I would have thought that he suggested to flash with original firmware first with the Asus firmware restoration utility, and subsequently 'upgrade' the firmware with the above mentioned OpenWRT firmware from the Asus webUI page (under administration firmware upgrade option). I will try to install the firmware again with the utility later and let you know the outcome. This post has been edited by peter32: Jan 28 2013, 10:18 AM

By now, I finally managed to set most of the stuff up with OpenWRT, with fast downloading speed etc. Just that despite the proper set up, I still cannot make the IPTV works.

Exactly. I double checked the setting, seems correct. One step I just want to ask you:
When I want to create a new service for IPTV, I clicked 'unmanaged' and then trying to save. But I will need to select a parameter as well, which I selected 'creates a bridge ...', and click VLAN interface eth0.600 as required.
I was asked to select one more item even before I proceed to physical setting. In which I selected VLAN eth0.600 also. Did you come across that too ? That step is the only step which was not mentioned at KLseet site.
ps: I was trying to set up port forwarding too, have you tried to do that ?

QUOTE(Dickong @ Mar 9 2013, 03:16 PM) Bro, which is a better buy Rt16N or Rt56u in term of performance. tq I guess Just purchased one RTN16 would do most of the trick. If you have a big house, then just add one cheap extender will do in each floor.

QUOTE(Dickong @ Mar 10 2013, 03:36 PM) Got myself a RT16N n was way better than my TP LInk 1043nd on unifi, with iptv on n playing on line gaming at the same time without any hitch. So far I have used a few Asus models. The first one being the RT13U, which was having a bit of the connecting issue. Now that unit has been reduced to act as an AP right now, while I am still running RT15 and RT12 at various places. I noticed that Asus has the least problem running various router activities eg. port forwarding etc.. where I hve some problem for TP-Link. Maybe it was my fault, I am not sure. No matter how good it is, after about 1.5-2 years, it will show its wear and tear. So really I think a basic unit will do the trick, and subject to renewal after 2 years. Just my two cents.

I just acquired an Asus RT-N10U, which was supposed to support Unifi. After acquisition, the firmware 1.0++ did not have the option for the IPTV etc.. so I upgrade its firmware from the Malaysia Asus website page to version 3.0.0.4.374_5517. I still cannot configure the router to access internet. Is that the right Firmware for the model ? And if it is, May I know the proper configuration step I should be watch out for. I use the internet set up wizard to select PPPOE with special requirement that enabled me to select UNIFI-home option. Username is the xxx@unifi . Still cannot solve the issue. Any help from anyone who also use RT-N10U would be appreciated. Here's my model : Asus RT-N10UEdit: More or less solved the problem. Thanks. QUOTE(raynman @ Sep 28 2014, 08:10 AM) That was because your Unifi PPPOE password was not correct. It turned out that I added one more 'space' behind the login name. Stupid mistake. The updated firmware, despite written to be able to upgrade to the same device, the picture of that model look different from what I got. So initially I thought this firmware was not the correct one.
