freddy manson : haha next time i bring my own cd. also sifu albnok alredy tell his place to process... will try there next time  nod.gif

d4rkholeang3l : eh i oso got that shirt  laugh.gif .nice pic, just the first one terpotong the head abit .

last weekend i attend the PM newbie model shoot. the sifu there say never cut cut on the model's limb, face, head , joints (elbow, knee, wrists, etc).
also a simple guide he gave to the models is bend anything that is bend-able. try look at this sifu guiding the model...

user posted image

the model was not a tall person, so the sifu show how correct posing technique can manipulate the outcome of the picture. with bending the arms, legs, tilting the head and body makes the model looks more interesting. rather than standing still or stiff  nod.gif . but if self potrait surely damn hard la kena tekan shutter and lari to position  sweat.gif

rayng: IMHO, not as sharp as i thought it would be. kind of disappointed... thinking of selling mine real soon... smile.gif you can ask MoO's opinion also... but i feel i prefer this compared to the 50mm 1.8 despite the smaller aperture.

Added on August 4, 2010, 9:22 pmQuestion:

rayng: dont be in doubt.. you wont regret buying the 28mm... sell ur 50mm... lol... do u need the extra 22mm wider or the wider aperture? when i bought the 28mm i targeted the 'wide-ness'...
*
@mike : well, actually i am aiming for the wideness...normally on 50mm i shoot at f2.5 (consider sharp for me )

my concern is whether the range is suitable for portraits or not ... sad.gif

almost kena halau from the shop for taking this  sweat.gif
loving my new lens larrr... won be settling anything less than constant f2.8 lens anymore. tongue.gif

btw a noob question:

i noticed at 17mm f2.8, my shots are sharp in the centre but soft as it approaches the side.

does this has to do with the sharpness of the lens of the depth of field? hmm.gif

will a CZ at 17mm produce a sharp shot throughout the whole image?

and wtf is wrong with alphanatics?!

alphanatics domain name expire already...

QUOTE(lwliam @ Aug 10 2010, 11:24 AM)
ray, firstly, what are you looking for in changing lenses? Just for the sake of changing or to achieve a certain level/effect/output that is not doable on the 50mm 1.8? Yes, the baby beercan is indeed sharp, could be in some ways sharper than the 50mm even. But you're losing a lot of light with the baby beer. Comparing 1.8 with 4.0, is a huge gap. If i were you, i'd keep the 50mm, and save for the baby beer if i really want it. In this case, i have both. 50mms are nearly always indispensable. Then again, i got my baby beercan from a brother in arms for an irresistable price.
*
i m looking for sharpness...well, after some thinking, nt that worth...
the range for 35-70 doesnt really suit me...

but thinking of using 18-70 as kitlens abit frustrate la...
i usually shoot at around f5.6 which is nt sharp...

again, i am looking for sharpness but no money to buy CZ...
nw waiting for my 28mm f2.8 to arrive...

d4rkholeang3l: Honestly? No.

The 30mm F2.8 DT SAM Macro makes a cheap and good add-on which is wider.

hiansitt: Use double-sided tape.

i already have a minolta 28mm f2.8 smile.gif
i guess it doesnt make much difference...well, just stick to what i have now right? haha
