you mean u pay 1st before knowing how is the outcome of the shots?
the last time my convo, they took the shots, then printed them out in 4R size and pasted EVERYTHING on a long wall for us to choose. if we want, then we copy down the serial number, then go to counter to tell them u want those copies. else, you dont have to pay anything, even those on the stage where you walk to get the scroll from chancellor also u can choose what size you want. i think mine was YL.

i think this way, even if their work sucks, then its too bad for the buyer la.. like it or not, you're stuck with it

mine was Foto Prime. from KL. konnonya got Malaysia of Book records awards some more. yes! ur words are all true! the shots all like PnS. harsh lit subjects with dark dark background. apparently they dunno how to use high iso, or their cheap bodies can't produce noiseless pics at high ISO?

i paid rm200. other students rm270? about 1700 graduates. that's about 450K!! can't those idiots get D3s/a900/5D mark 2/1ds mark 3 with super lenses instead of entry level bodies with cheapo kit lens and take our pictures??! okla to be fair.. i saw ONE guy with a 5DM2 with 24-70 L. the rest..... again, to be fair, i know most of you here can get beautiful pictures with kit lens as well, but they totally fail la.

i didn't frame my photo though..thank goodness this is my alevel convo only..hope my degree convo won't screw up..

for the candid shots, yes you pay later. but for the group shots, the shots where u shake hand with chancellor while receiving scroll, have to pay first.

Foto Prime? HAHAHAHA another person complaining. That doesnt make you alone zstan.

Previously they didnt even remove the red eye on the photos, not even touch up the face. #FAIL!

I think during the convocation ceremony the spot where you get the scroll from Chancellor is limited to the cermony photographer (not open for all) this way they force us to pay whether you want it or not.

For me just pay it to make my mom happy and don't know where it is now.Unless you're going to print it A12 and put it in your living room then its going to be a problem la

touch ups and red eye removal, where got time to do, they need to churn out the photos within 2-3 hours for THOUSANDS of graduates. touch up, i cant say anything la, but red eye, those can be avoided with properly placed lights

fuuuuu laa...then make us go alllllll the way to their freaking isolated shop to collect the photos some more..so that they can 'persuade' us to buy more photos since we are already in their shop.. last time all done at the uni itself including the returning of gowns..

Uzu, A12 is VERY VERY small ge worrrrr (if it even exists)

if they charge rm50 per person, then i keep quiet lor.

but this company charge rm200-rm270, got what Malaysia book of Awards, got ISO 9001:2008, UKAS Quality management, since 1983 some more..

and u get crappy shots... i think i have all the right to make my point gua?

to let you guys know that you all are much much MUCH better that those stupid proclaimed professional photographers.

what i know about standard paper sizes are that they go the other way around where A0 being the largest, half of it is A1, half of A1 is A2 and so on...

if i have a great piece of photo that really stands out, i also would like to print one out on canvas and hang it. but so far still none that suits my taste, still working on it

zstan: they dun use umbrella or softbox eh? last time when me graduate. they use that. thank god all pic are awsume n they use film yo.. just my pimples that time make my pic turnout a bit lol.

photo sizes are usually differentiated by how many 'R's...

4R,5R,6R,8R,12R.. its not common to refer the sizes with paper size
