the iData1 is a "no contract" term, kan?
so,
1- i buy ip4 today with iData1 plan today (don't get excited, supposedly)
2- next month or tommorrow i call maxis CS to unsubscribe the iData1

⇒ Q1: possible?
⇒ Q2: no add. penalty incurred?

i know, i know...but it's so hard to get the CS, and the moment i got through, either me or her broke the london bridge.  rclxub.gif

From what i can gather from the maxis website, for iValue plans, principal and supp lines have free calls and sms. terms & conditions of family plan apply.
Meaning: Get up to 15 hours of free voice and video calls between family lines*. (Up to 10 lines)
Get up to 1500 free SMS between family lines. (Up to 10 lines)
Free Value Added Services. You get (CLIP) Caller Line Identification Presentation, Voicemail and Call Waiting.

*Family lines: Between Principal and Supplementary lines and vice versa.

Note the above is copied from maxis website.

So the supp line wont have data? If both my gf and me were to get Iphone 4 each, we each have to get iValue plans? Is there a way to get free calls/sms between us?

found it. taken frm the iPhone 3GS terms and conditions.

There is no sharing of monthly commitments between i-Value plans (principal line) and its supplementary lines. However, credit sharing between principal & supplementary lines is possible for customers who s ubscribe to the Value Plus plans (6 months contract)

333mins x 15cents = RM50
1gb + 200sms +20mms = RM50

Added on October 20, 2010, 11:53 pmi feel the iValue plans are not really value.
you cant share the unused portion with supp line. i seldom use mms, so that amt is wasted. even on my most talkative months, i hardly hit 270mins.
if only there are more reasonable iData plans. RM50 for 500mb is shit!

oops, my bad. only iData1 has no contract. Yours is iData2, so 1 yr. Ask them to switch you to iValue1.
If u are a supp line under your brother now, switching to iValue1 means you 2 cant share credit and no more free calls between u and him.

Added on November 2, 2010, 2:23 pmand yes, the termination fee calculation is correct

iphone 4 can be tethered, regardless if its prepaid or postpaid, the only question u should be asking is 1gb permonth enough for u to use? remember, tethering uses data and when u use it to tether, all desktop website (flash included) are way bigger in size and what does this means is the higher the data usage...

i suggest u stick to ur BB for a peace of mind
*
well i only need the connection to replicate my files and reply emails when i'm out in client's place. for the heavy duty, i can use wireless at home.
now i use my bb to get youtube or those large apps quick only. haha.
2 weeks into my billing cycle, and the phone shows i've only used 60mb. so i guess i should be ok.

how do u read your bills? I'm on iValue 1, which has 200 free sms to maxis numbers. In my bill, the breakdown shows I have sent 240 sms to maxis numbers. Shouldn't maxis rebate me 200, and charge me for the 40? How come Maxis only rebate me RM18.47 for sms??

thats call marketing strategy plus *** below than contract..200sms if u r using all ur credit or monthly comitment with sms..example rm50/montly mean free 200sms..but if u make a call? then need to divide ur call + sms /rm50..the extra u still need to pay..but lastly everyting is maxis will suck ur money.. sweat.gif
ah. so the RM100/mth is RM50 for 1gb data, RM50 for calls/sms. Either i use 333mins of calls, or 200sms. Cannot 333mins + 200sms? So do they rebate calls first or sms?
Bloody hell, f***er maxis. Should have taken digi, then no need to worry abt exceeding the data.

BTW 963mb costs RM4.8k. rclxub.gif

Added on December 14, 2010, 2:36 pmbtw i cant find any T&C for the plan in the website. also it shows in the table free 200 sms, and the * only says for maxis numbers. doesnt say anything abt the RM50 being shared with call minutes and sms

i think u sent sms to other operator.it says in contract Maxis to maxis only.

I am also thinking between digi or maxis
*
i figured out the charges. cause i was on extra 10, so sms to certain numbers only 1cent. but maxis count those sms inside my total 200sms (which i think should not be that way. im already paying RM8/mth to get cheaper calls & sms to 10 numbers, why are those sms & calls included in my 333mins and 200sms?).
so thats how the 7 cents came about
