I think apple stopped producing new ip3gs long time - only 8gb 3gs is new.
1-1 exchange in uk/us is the norm - here wait long time for the to check your phone, then may/may not replaced. My friend did a claimed for his 16gb 3gs this june - and sold it to me. Then when i JBed it, it already had SHSH saved for previous fw (meaning previous owner already JBed it, and saved the SHSH to cydia server) Also, u can check the manufacture date from the serial no (just google), and waranty check at apple website.. |
