Naah, and get stuck with the region lock and using proxy? Not worth the hassle.
*
For the Beta testers, we are playing on US servers and it was fine for us. And not like the SEA servers are much more smoother than US servers.

For me, i'll switch to US once they allow SEA version to play on US.

Just have a bad feeling that IAH indeed is handling the servers.

Guys need to ask below question:

Q1. Anyone try to play starcraft 2 on laptop with similar specs below
HP 6530b Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8Ghz
2 GB RAM
Windows Vista
Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset

Dont want to be buying the game and found out it cant run later
Q2. Does this game requires Internet Connection all the time?

Q3. Looking at this rate, it will be impossible to get pir4ted version?
*
Please support originals or dont play.

So how is the game? Campaign wise. Is it as good as Starcraft?
*
Yeap, really fun, with lots of customisations.

Much better than most RTS's campaign in recent years.

QUOTE(PrivateJohn @ Jul 29 2010, 02:30 AM)
The constant dc from the server yesterday is really annoying, the bigger problem is that it will cause some glitches during campaign and I have to restart the game to get it fix.
*
I did get that too.

It just restart the whole bloody campaign again.

Looks like the servers are managed by IAH. And we only have less than 2000 games on SEA while there are 16k games on all over the world. Thats damn little, to be honest.

Blizzard give me US client asap, please.

QUOTE(valent @ Jul 29 2010, 02:32 AM)
Downloaded earlier Starcraft enGB installer. installed it before sc2 even came out.

now, i register for digital copy on b.net as sea account.

i can't login, keep on saying association required, but my b.net already show my SC2 is active

so i have to download SG game client? enSG installer?
*
You need SG client, or find some way to modify the SC2Base file.

Not sure is it up or not.

QUOTE(sayming @ Jul 29 2010, 04:02 AM)
Just finished 12 missions. Time for a break before i finish the other 17. Nite people~~
*
I think you only get to play 26 missions out of those 29 missions.

*
Probably the servers still need tweaking.

Just wanna ask is the standard price for SEA more expensive then sc2 sold in asia?

Coz i was checking sites like gamestop where the price for the normal game is usd 59.99, but when i want 2 buy it direct from blizzard site, its asking for SGD 109 which is USD 80 dollars.

So essentially, i am getting ripped off 20 USD since i am buying the game in the asian region?
*
Yea, SEA version is more expensive.

I think, just go for US version.

Cheaper, and the servers are much more stable. SEA server is quite bad now, even the number of players are less than Beta on US server.

i never said SC2 is a better game than other game, i just said that expensive is a price we have to pay if we wan to play a better game smile.gif

What we have currently in the game, does not justify the high price, at all.

Content wise, it isnt much different than DoW2 or CoH.

There's no innovation in this game, nothing much new... 12 years and u would something new game mechanics, but really its just 1.5 with new coat of paint.

DOW1 was still great in those days even play the beta. tongue.gif
*
Im not asking for innovations like the jump from DoW1 to CoH, but at least SC2 comes with something that justify the price for the damn game.

The campaign has so little CGI cutscenes, and most of them are just recycled from Blitzcon. The amount of voice over is nothing compared to games like Mass Effect. In the end, the whole campaign feels like just a typical RTS campaign with better gameplay.

So,where did the money went then?

Still, the gameplay still feels fresh after tonnes of games attempt to get rid of base building.

yeah the C&C RA3 is was the worse at all, the game become like a chibi type so lame game

And the designer who worked on it is in SC2 team.

LOL.

Dont judge the game by the graphics. The gameplay is solid and damn fun to play.

You mean getting a SSD now.  brows.gif

On the topic, seems like Blizzard's has stirred up a nest of hornets (fans) with the custom map popularity thingie.
Check it out here:

Seen this problem like miles away.

The custom game menu is always a pain to use.

Fix that popularity crap, and give me a chat room, cross region. Thats good enough.

I am with yer. Even though I like how Bnet functions like an online dating site, I still want to able to look at the status of my hosting (network ping, map, list of players..). Come to think of it, it's like blind-dating, you never know who you are dating until that moment.
*
I like your comparison. laugh.gif

For me, it's crap.

It's just as annoying as L4D2 without a real dedicated server browser.

Somethings, are just never meant to be changed.

You should have the save for it.

btw...the extra mission is awesome!! thumbup.gif
*
Yeap, one of the old auto save manage to load for me.

Yeah, the extra story is actually much better than most of the mission in the game. It's just well made and explained some of the ambiguity in the game.

This a good read about The Dark Voice shown in the Protoss campaign.

The story make a lot more sense now.

Doesnt mean it's true.
