Note : Most of the heater cores below can be fitted with 2 x 120mm fans, but you have to custom make a shroud (just goggle!). Most of the inlet/outlet are 5/8", so just cut the copper tubing to the length you want and wrap 1/2" hose over the tube and clamp.
You can go to any decent radiator workshop for this mod, ask them to clean/sand/file the burr off the sharp tubing end, or it will cut your hose. Request to have the heater core cleaned of gunk/rust thoroughly, get it pressure tested using their equipment (enhanced pressure).
Pay to have any leaks/cracks serviced (welding/epoxy), do the pressure test again.
These heater cores are thick (2"), so you will have to do a push pull fan config (4 fans). Recommended to use 120mm x 38mm fans @ 6v with a good shroud. I would install 2 heaters if possible. Mounting the heater cores could be an issue though. I can post the info later.

Added on July 29, 2010, 4:31 amHeater cores are also called heater matrix in Malaysia. You can find them at aircon servicing shops for automobile.
Some car owners opt to have them removed due to leaking coolant. Heater matrix's function is to regulate the temperature in the car (passenger area), as sometimes the aircon gets too cold, especially on rainy days. That's where the heater comes in to "warm up" to the desired temperature.
Removing the heater matrix is a hassle. Most have to open up the dashboard to reach the heating unit. Replacing the whole heating unit is also very expensive.
