A good investment would be the celebrated Rancilio Rocky / Silvia combo. It should cost you less than RM5,000 (probably importing it would set you back a bit more) but it sure makes a great espresso!

Rave reviews and reception at CoffeeGeek. It is the ultimate mid-range grinder/espresso combo.

A good budget grinder is the Starbucks Barista, or the improved version of it, the Dualit 75002, which is essentially a rebranded Solis 116. It can be tweaked to grind a fine espresso for you to get a 25second pull.

Tweaks described here:
http://www.kwilson.fsnet.co.uk/grinder_tweaks.htm

The Starbucks Barista/Dualit 75002/Solid 116 is priced in UK at 75 GBP, so that converts to below RM500.

Then you have to invest on a fairly decent espresso machine. If you're skimping on the grinder, the Rancilio Silvia would still be affordable to you, because it costs 400 GBP here, so about RM 2,500. That in total is RM 3,000
