You can transmit signal from ur router to ur IPTV thru wireless. But you need 2 extra routers (as what I have tried before)
1 router will act as AP to transmit signal from ur DIR-615 to the 2nd router that act as repeater bridge.

This is what I do for my IPTV.

Or you can use homeplug..Much reliable compared to wireless..

Asus RT-N13U. Yes, I use the bridging like the athena website. I haven't tried to get it direct yet, the seems to be an option for IPTV STB Port, but I haven't tried it yet. Is that indicate possibility for it to replace D-Link 615?

W'okay but its easier to use an old hub (which mirrors traffic to each port) or a managed switch with port mirroring If you're using *pcap based software like Wireshark, you must also perform the capture in Linux because Windows NIC drivers which don't support VLAN tags (nearly all realtek cards) will automatically strip off VLAN tags from your capture so you won't know what's really going on.

This is an ADSL2 modem+router combination right? I'm just guessing because it has ATM VC based PVIDs

Guys, good news.
I have confirmed HP Procurve 1700-8G can replace The Dlink for VLAN tagging and bridging work.
Now I can really put the Dlink to rest.

*now to test the IPTV thing...*
