I would suggest the Motorola Milestone, not the XT720 mind you, since your criteria listed a keyboard. The only thing the XT720 is better than the Milestone is the 8MP camera with Xenon flash. The rest is similar to that on the Milestone. 3D games performance on the Milestone is alright, though you should expect the said games to perform at 20FPS.
You can get a 2nd hand Milestone for around RM1200.
you forgot xt720 has a hdmi port and the cpu speed is higher than milestone

At least for few years? Must get a tough and durable phone instead. I would recommend motorola defy hehe Shouldn't be more than rm1.4k and it will arrive in Malaysia in couple of weeks

Defy will get froyo update sometime in Q1 next year. You can search around youtube got so many resistant tests being made on the phone. There's one guy showering while answering phone with Defy. Another dude use an elephant to step on the device. And still work! Wow

last year trophy or this year??..did i said xt720??... ..dude nowadays not suitable for 512 rom...same like xt..but xt more worst bcoz of 256 ram...not nice for normal user just want to enjoy the phone....unless root the phone and apply mod rom...i can say now ezily defy with custom can tapau desire custom...look at romm on defy dude..lagi mau amik desire...wakakaka... ...neocare desire cannot beat defy even with custom rom... i enjoy with my xt bcoz i know how to make it fast and stable for my usage...not advise for beginner ..
