Regular movie watching? If it includes flash content then sorry.. SGAce doesn't support flash. IMO if you have the budget go for Acer Liquid Metal.

AP sets are around RM 1800 IINM. Captivate is much cheaper at RM14xx
By mid Q2 i guess. AP sets would be priced around 2.8k when launched, and then x10 syndrome kicks in and it'll come to around 2.3k in 1-2 months.

Samsung ace pricing is getting higher due to supply-demand; any other options that I can consider?

Also, in term of cost, Acer cost 1300 (ORI) whereas desireZ cost 1600 (AP) .. in this sense, would desireZ is still a better choice in comparison?

milestone Xt720 ..but u need to root and install froyo.
Xt hardware is gud compare to others include the loud speaker n xenon flash.
Xt is gud multimedia storage which can use HDMI to watch movie or pictures slideshow on the big screen..even can browse internet and watch YouTube on big screen..
The GPS on xt720 is great! .no problem at all.
Camera hv HD recording 720p option.
lastly slack on xt720 is 256 ram..  can't install high end game which need more than 256 to run..but many games still can play without problem..
Anyway xt720 is without blur coz I saw some comments here stated all moto come with blur..

2x more ram but 2x more lagging than xt..hehe..(true story)
Amoled only the advantage with captivate.
Quadrant on 3d benchmark cannot beat xt ..even mod rom..hehe

Not that ugly performance wise. 512mb ram n 800mhz could mean it's a bit better. Plus I liked the fonts on the keyboard. And the physical design of each key on the keyboard. Unique.

xperia x10 is good camera for android but still can't beat iphne 4 .
