It going to choke the main entrance into wawasan. Setia walk still not jam pack enough , I get this worst latest news. -->

"The developer (Setia I guess) whose initial plan of building 47 units of semi-d houses behind wawasan bomba intend to convert the plan into building 2 blocks of 14 storey service apartment and 2 blocks of 13 storey SOHO Studio apartment.

Got the confirmation from MPSJ that the developer have submitted the conversion documents and there will be a meeting on the 8th of Dec 2010 to decide on the conversion." vmad.gif

I don't how worst going to be at the wawasan main road and the parallel road along the LDP. I m going to protest with this crazy development. vmad.gif
*
This is bad!! The roads in Wawasan shops are already bad with idiots double parking on both sides near the Bomba and now how will the roads into Wawasan houses be able to cope with additional traffic? Wawasan residents need to protest to their wakil rakyat Gobind Singh and also to the leaders like Hannah Tan, Teresa Kok who are in the assembly council including the MB as the local MPSJ are full of crooks who are already bought by SP! If the MPSJ are honest, how come the town planners did not do a survey on the cars coming to visit setia walk and the number of residents in the surrounding areas?

Crooks from the BN era are still in power!!

long time didnt heads up in my puchong thread...any new stuffs puchong folks? i knew carrefour will be opening soon some time next year...so bye tesco, giant & jusco...

Hi guys, you all noticed that there's an increased PDRM presence in Bdr Puteri and Wawasan areas? Not sure about the rest but I saw mounted police recently and police heli doing frequent flyovers. Also many mobile police beats are being set up near banks as well. I hope this will be permanent as the town area gets larger. However double parking is still a problem in wawasan town and puchong utama, in front of Citibank, HSBC, etc..eventhough the council is towing away cars. Wonder why ppl cnt walk a bit by parking elsewhere and biggest culprits are those with big cars, mpvs, suvs..afraid kena kidnap izit? rclxub.gif

I was stuck for nearly half hour on the road just after MBB in Bdr Puteri towards CIMB as 2 idiots parked on both side of the road and did not bother to move them eventhough ppl honked their horns. Anyway we can complain to MPSJ? vmad.gif

Police in BP quite sometime. Specially citibank area. Now reduce liau. The devoloper put up some thick ugly blue metal grill at the road shoulder.

Probaly prevent snatch thief and bank robbery from fast fast runaway.

Didn't notice any increase police in wawasan. Increase traffic ada.
*
Got man...I see a few kapchai cops (2 bikes) going in and out around 1230pm near W2. Also a mobile unit (like HK) outside of mamak shop at wawasan, twice same time already! Waiting for horsey patrol again next time coming down the hill near w1. Think Citibank area too hot, so maybe moved to Public Bank/HongLeong. They should get rid of the pesky 5-foot salesmen who harass customers of PBB too..

Traffic sure increase..wait for Setia Walk..dunno how the 4pm-8pm traffic gonna cope coming from Wawasan since ppl need to U-turn near Setia walk instead of near Tesco to go back to IOI.

I think 4 or 5 years ago there was one worst ever flood at IOI Mall. The flood water actually entered the old wing shopping complex.
*
Believed last year also got flooded, near to the carwash and Bus stand. Funny as there is a covered monsoon drain there. Maybe rubbish at the grating or in the drain caused the floods or the tide was high..because drains flood out to the lake behind. Usually I will park on rooftop, dun trust the open air carpak anymore cos on hot day, no shade..rain, flooded pulak. Oh yah, on rooftop near the 3rd flr lift exit, water level will also go high if heavy rain as the drain is slow to divert the rainwater. shakehead.gif

Hopefully Setia Walk will have proper drainage as the river behind looks choked. Looks like rainy day again today!

Well, residential road is not designed for high traffic volume.

Everyone hates congestion, worse if inside housing areas.

Currently the situation is good enough, residents rather walk or leave their cars at the dead end to have food/banking etc.

By linking the road, it only benefits outsiders, not us residents.

- Happy Holidays to all -  biggrin.gif
*
Linking is bad and so's the free parkers who do not want to pay parking fees and rather double park in front of people's homes. Dun understand why they can afford to buy cars but cannot afford to pay parking compared to the shopping that they do...the whole wawasan 1/1 area is going to be a battlezone of residents and outsiders who wanna park free there..hopefully the RA can step up the security and not let outsiders park in that area, that means all residents MUST pay to be able to hire security guards...

On another note, Merry Christmas u'all!

man, a lot shops in puchong already. Don't know how it can sustain la. Somemore setia walk and the cube still building, once finish sure a lot supply of shoplots. When will the bubble burst? hahah. But I saw a lot foot relfexology shops, mushrooming around in bandar puteri, really so many people go massage meh? Either is money laundering or people go for the "special service".
*
Well, gangsters/hark seh wui nowadays need another outlet to wash their money and this is the best so far, some more can bring in china girls for other 'extra' services. Open restaurants nowadays also chap lap if cooks or service not good..no one complains about massage centers.

Anyway, went to Carrefour (twice already) today and still find the 'feeling' not there as compared to the one in Tropicana City or MidValley..maybe cos its small and the quality of shops there also not good..very low-end maybe? The cashier's aisle is also narrow..wonder how they going to cope during weekends or holidays...carpak also narrow and too few, expect double parking outside. Since its located in a more Chinese predominant place, cnt find the non-halal section.. tongue.gif

Anyway, Happy New Year to all!! laugh.gif cool.gif ..another month to go before Kong Hee Fatt Choy!!

I think the baba cendol place chaplap liao.  100% closed just now.  Or maybe they close on Mondays?  Another place was also closed, looked a bit chaplap, some dragon something.
*
Hope the restaurants in front of Public Bank close down too...went there for dinner last night at 'Taste Good' or something..lousy service, food so-so..mostly using Myanmar, cannot speak Malay, english or dialects..then girl taking orders also can speak mandarin, slow in taking orders..supervisor, local guys, speaking Canto afraid to take orders, dunno why he's there..had 5 crabs (2 dishes), nearly RM180, better eat at Tak Fook, cheaper and nicer, pity need to wait long and small place...

Dunno why so many food shops in Puteri, most of them not good, thinking open food shop, many wud come and just eat and pay? No need quality or wat? Puchong ppl not water-fish lor...maybe in Mont Kiara or Hartamas...but Puchong has more kiamsiap ppl.. laugh.gif Think rental alone will kill those shops if the food quality is low and prices high.

Shoplots are getting overpriced now, may not sustain if market collapses in 1 or 2 years time. sweat.gif

Aiya, very common lah.  Lots of people in the medical industry are very arrogant and they're interested not in healing but in making lots of money off you in collusion wif the pharmaceutical industry.

These days, I go to the lokter only if I need an MC (then refuse to take any pills or throw away all if the lokter insist) or got some structural problem need x-ray to check like last time I collide wif an old anene uncle on my kapchai.  I prefer to go to the neighbourhood sinseh apek to take my pulse and see if anything is out of kilter.

Wah you must be very healthy one...most young guys nowadays, sikit2 MC, go see lokter...I go see lokter free since my co. pay, if not wasted.

Morning puchong kia,

Something to share with you guys. Just happen yesterday.
Stimix, watchout for your kapcai. Put a large chain on your tyre. tongue.gif

The local marshalls should include these areas to patrol...
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=...0254&sec=nation

Gated communities should consider hiring more competent guards or companies, paying the extra thousand means the difference between sleeping/living comfprtably or in fear. No point installing so much for alams if no one helps you when the alarms goes off when you are not around...I hear many houses installing alarms and paying so much when it actually indicates to the burglars that you have something worth stealing..maybe better to remain incognito or under the radar? If your area has professionl guards, means they just wun open the barrier to anyone with a sticker, they will check on alarms ringing or wun bother, even if you tell them cos 1 or 2 guards manning the post will not just leave it unattended if its a big area.

Residents need to be educated once they have a gated/guarded community set-up, they need to contribute together and not wait for the other people to pay for them. RAs (resident assoc) need to register themselves at the ROS because they do not have the right to collect money from people officially. Nowadays gated/guarded communities are springing up so fast that there is no proper control or education for the residents.

Anyone wishing to know more about this can PM me for advice smile.gif Puchong ppl onli... thumbup.gif (jokin') go for TT and get free advice..cheers!

I think they give minmum parts and sensor. After add in ++, become high.

Mind cost RM2800 way back 1998.
3 motion detector
all grill and door sensor,
2 keypad
link to phone line
strobe light box
All wiring conceal
and labour charge.
*
So expensive that time leh...any problems like false alarms?

I'm using ADT, paid RM850, has most of the items like yours, additional roof sensor and call center service. Concealed wires more effective and not prone to false alarms unlike the wireless (radio frequency) ones. Wait for the home fairs and get better discounts and free gifts. I'm staying in a gated/guarded area, so a bit more secure.

Now CNY around the corner, most hawkers want to make extra money, later shd reduce the price to keep customers coming. If the shops wun reduce the price of drinks, then the food hawkers would lose out. Lucky cut my hair at indian shop, same price.

People who park cincai is the worst, they have lazy a$$ to walk further to look for parking.

Few days ago at Puteri Citibank area, i saw MPSJ tow trucks (about 3-4 trucks) conduct operations and pulled away cars that park cincai like double parking, park at corners & on motorcycle parking (dumba$$ Harrier owner).

Well done to MPSJ, traffic become more smooth.
*
Yah really wan to give those tow-truckers ang-pow for being so efficient..dunno why ppl jz dump their cars in front of Citibank, CIMB and AMMB closing off 1 lane and other ppl have to wait in the queue. No brains or jz dun care? When their cars get towed, they shout and scream at the tow-truckers...whose fault? Another place that has eased off is Public bank where usually cars will 3-park at the bend in front of the Bank jz so they can go pay the ATM..common sense down the drain! Sometimes these are not kancils or MyVi (which is the most) but Camrys and Alphards..seriously, the bigger the car, the smaller the brains? Sori to bring out the race card, but chinese the worst..they think they drive a big car, they own the road.. vmad.gif

MPSJ may be doing a lot to improve the traffic in these areas but I've not seen any improvement in the drainage esp the cleaning and desludge of waste from restaurants..try peeking into the monsoon drains and you can see how much grease is floating around..no wonder our rivers are choking. shakehead.gif

Our govt official brain is still at the meriam buluh stage.. cry.gif

Back to parking in Bdr Puteri again..there is a multi -storey car park built but ppl still park and double park around that area (in front of gym and behind) Some more some customers are gym members, so exercise in gym can, walk from car park, kenot? They shd take your pix and distribute among their members tongue.gif...lol!

Most mamak restaurants, like Kayu, Ali Maju charge RM1.50 already wor..teh ais 1.80-2.00! That day I drink milo ais kosong - 2.50! Machib*i..next time order air panas and bring own powdered drink.. shakehead.gif

The melor restaurant food nice what? Must be the rental or feng shui no good....also there parking is difficult but a lot of people working near there, so shd not be a problem to get bizness.. hmm.gif

That's should be the way like PangurBan said, but most of us order meals with drinks, it's not healthy lifestyle.  Some shops, if you do not order drinks, their face (boss face) will turn black !  cool2.gif
Like Hongkies, usually they take soup before normal meal, it helps to warm up your stomach and you may not eat that much later in normal meal.
*
Yah but how-la? Go mamak shop and eat roti with plain water? Some food courts do not sell teh cina ais or ais kosong/suam. Its more of a habit and usually we shd train our kids like some ppl I know, the father only order one teh ais and share wif the mum...however, if hot day a bit difficult. Japs also take soup before a meal..no need to have tea.. laugh.gif Ice also go up although elec and water still the same and their bangla salaries also the same..delivery costs..yeah, diesel naik 10 sen a liter, 1 packet of ice naik 10 sen, 1 glass naik 20 sen..where they go learn economics?
