Poisoning starts liow... tongue.gif

BTW... I just came back from Penang and met new friends. They are pro Canon and full time photographers. So they let me play around with their lens and now I got poisoned liow... laugh.gif

Still, LX5 is easy to carry around due to its compact size. drool.gif

Hi Deerc,

You might wanna do like what i did in Thailand during weekend. I tried so many different cameras using almost same settings available taking indoor pics @ their Electronics Hyperstore... and that is how i got poisoned starting with Pana FZ27 last time.

Really an eye opener for me as I was a Nikon fanboy (my old cam is Coolpix). LOL.

Owh man, Phuket looks nice and happening. Worked for more than a year @ Thailand but never had the chance to go Phuket.

Any pic inside the "Kantok" cafe?

Sorry, another common question again.

I'm planning to get a camera now.
My Mind were stick into Lx-3, Lx-5 and Fz40

Lx-3 is just only RM1250. But Lx-5 is RM1450.
The price range is there. Is it worth to pay extra more RM200 for a Lx-5?

About Fz-40 from obvious spec look seem better than both of the lx model. But there's less recommend from people.
The price is only RM1350.

Any recommendation and explanation please?

Thanks a lot for the help.

IMO, LX3 is good enough already if you wanna start shooting. No point to get latest ones if you dun even use those additional functions.

hello all siful.

can i know wat the diff for sd memory card? class? which one better?

anybody buy hdmi cable. i heard outside said that monster cable is the best? anybody know the price?
*
Aiyoh, so many debate about monsta cable. The brand is overpriced ler...

HDMI transmits digital signal nia.. so if you buy expensive and or cheap,... very little diff. You can check out those threads about buying cheap or high priced HDMI under "Home Entertainment Forum". Me talking based my experience... smile.gif

You can start purchasing HDMI cable with the following specs:-
- Version 1.3a or 1.4 (3D capable signals)
- Speed is around 10.2GBps

Price ranges around RM30 - RM60 will be good enough. Anybody with diff experience?

Use your mouth and blow hot air to the lens and then use microfibre cloth to wipe gently?

hi grace, S mode is use to control the shutter speed~
Shutter speed means how long the camera takes a pic~
High shutter speed is use for capturing moving subject~ Less than a second
Slow shutter speed is use for capturing water flow or car light trail on the road at nite~ More than a second eg. 5 0r 20second~
Under S mode, aperture will be set automatically~
Some pics will turn out black if your shutter speed is too high, then u muz lower it~

if u want video recording~ at least a class 4 and above~  biggrin.gif
*
Sifoo, 1 question to ask... read somewhere about the A and S mode.

If we use A, it will auto select best Shutter speed for us...

If we use S, it will auto select best aperture for us...

Is this true? My old cam is totally PNS... so i cant test.

i mean the DMW-BCJ1E battery "might" be using the 4th metal connector to identify itself to the LX5.  So when engineer get their hands on the LX5 during RMA, they know whether we are using the original battery or "Cap-Ayam" one~

to make my previous statement clearer :
