ISO 800 is fine if u view the pic just to fit a 23" screen

if view at original 10MP size, obvious noise will appear

thanks.. got some noise lah, because its resized so its not noticeable

compact camera, after all, sure rugi when shooting indoor event

got abit noise is at least better than no noise but motion blur~

try perhaps zooming in the lens, while lifting the camera away from the subject to maintain perspective

macro mode, Aperture priority, ISO 400 - ISO 100, F2.0-3.x due to zooming..

yes you can

the limitation of compact camera is that, its hard to have bokeh effect while not taking close-ups, but try zooming in and move the camera slightly away from the subject, might help a little to achieve bokeh, but it stil not that good compare to DSLR lah
