I just bought a M001 from evern last night. It was damn slow and the G sensor doesn't look like working at all. So i cook another ROM using the same kernel 2.6.29 and update the following module/driver:

Now the device work perfectly. I also manage to get Android Market running on the device (M001)

Its NOT a phone.. its a Android tablet PC.. since its an Android device you can update the module by compiling it and then Flash it into new ROM. The price for M001 and M002 is around RM320 to RM399. yes its look like iPad but its not.. again its running Android and I can customize Windows Mobile to be flashed into it

I have Apad with Rockchip 2808 too. This is faster than Eken M001 and have Android Market.

Do you have any intend to do a custom firmware for this android tablet.?

As for the rockchip, does the compony who produce it release the config (or full spec) for the kernel, else, i need the latest working firmware and extract it out.. it can be done as well

You can get it from hiapad.com. They are releasing the update version but base on android 1.5.
Other than that you might try slatedroid.com.

beside being slow, does u current one giving u any problem like very short batt. lifespan / screen turn black / wifi problem / etc?

Better get the Apad with Rockchip 2808. But there's two version. One with Blue Led and the other with Red Led when charging.
Get the Red one.

cook some for our phones then You could make a LYN themed ROM and it would be legendary. Its not a commitment btw as we know ur doing things for run, no pressure but at least try to. We would be proud to try
