Most video recording phone doesn't have auto-focus or focus function when recording, even most of the PnS camera outthere can't do it.
However, there is one app call "iFocus" (I think) which allows you to adjust the focus manually during video recording. Previously I did install it, but it seems buggy and they implemented something on the proximity sensor, so it's annoying with the menu keep popping up.
Learn some photography technique. You can focus on something else, lock the focus, then move back at the object you want to capture. With this technique, you can take many wonderful pictures, even those that you can't focus due to lighting or the lense unable to focus that particular object. You can focus something easier to focus (even near), lock it, the shift back to the object you want to capture.
As for 3rd party camera app, there is BlessN900... and finally, the most powerful of all, fCAM.
fCAM is what I have been asking for, manual focus, manual controls. It's like having a profesional camera already!
I wonder if there's any other smartphone have such powerful camera app.
do we need to enable any respo to get this fCAM..
