Few days back I managed to dual-boot with android(thanks for the links provided). can run but sometimes abit laggy and buggy especially when I wan to turn off the phone. The menu will blink2 but it still accept my input to shutdown. haven't tried gaming yet since I cannot find astro file manager in Market 
All in all, I hope NITDroid dudes keeps progress until all functionality achieved. Right now they managed to enable data transfer via 3G iinm but still in testing phase. Maybe next time, I can follow n900 thread & android thread in lyn

One thing that I notice is, the screen can be seen clearly eventhough I'm sitting under direct sunlight. I never feel so much worth as much as before! For those who this thinking wan or duwan this phone, just grab with your eyes closed and enjoy .Make sure you watch youtube and follow all n900 related forum and you are set. At first when I'm holding my baby, I x really cocky at all. just like handling normal desktop.

Anyone know how to access windows share? I dun see any smb package in App mgr   Gonna googling around again...
And still, no VK or ukeyboard crash when using it. Sigh, so lazy wanna reflash to global FW, got tons of app already downloaded over there

I'm still using vanilla kernel since i almost never face any lags or slows for a while. except for yesterday when I'm running duke nukem 3d which requires me to restart when it hangs.

So sad since I realised no sound enhancement in this phone, I seldom listen my songs there. But I very happy to watch drama without conversion .  All video format can run without/slight hiccups except 720 size.

i've been trying to load and boot meego from micro sd following this instruction , but i can only make it until

step 8: Click the "Write" button to byte-copy the image to the microSD memory card.

im stuck at the step to run the flasher flasher-3.5 -l -b -k <kernel>, can anyone tell me how to do it?

is <kernel> the name of the extracted image file (meego-xxx-xxx.raw)? or the full path to the file(c:\folder\folder\meego-xxx-xxx.raw)?
<kernel> is the meego-handset-armv5tel-n900-nokia-proprietary-1.0.80.13.20100803.2-mmcblk0p.raw.bz2 image file? or the meego-handset-armv5tel-n900-nokia-proprietary-1.0.80.13.20100803.2-vmlinuz-2.6.35~rc6-133.2-n900 kernel file? im confused

base on this link( u need to put in ur imei code to be able to go in)

another problem is after i wrote the image to the micro sd, the micro sd file system become unrecognized, is this normal?

unrecognized by both pc and n900. how to mount?
i place the kernel file in some folder, when i run the flasher command, i use full path...after that it shows something like "cannot find the suitable usb device. Waiting."

i tried both way to flash, by pc and in n900.
now i moved the kernel file to the same flasher folder already.
im using win 7 64bit but there's no error when i run the flasher, the only thing is, it shows me "Suitable USB device not found, waiting."

steps i take is , connect my phone to usb, then choose "mass storage" then in windows i run the command, is this correct?

i also tried the cmd to mount the thing, but it shows me cant find /dev/mmcblk1p1 in /etc/fstab

do i need to format my micro sd to a specific type of file system(ext3 ?) before i write the image into it? (currently using fat32)

Time to customize the dekstop but still feel like my N900 is empty haha just felt like need to explore more to know this phone and except conky is there still any app could see what running behind the N900 ? Conky didn't give much useful information yet hmm..

I want to install froyo in n900. can anyone show me how to install froyo..tq.

i tried win xp pc. i plug in like normal usb device, in "storage mode", i duno about r n d mode. 
pls allow me to describe my steps:

1. i unzip the .raw image, the nokia proprietary version.
2. i used the win32diskwriter to write the image to my mmc, via the phone in storage mode(usb).
3. then i move the kernel file into the same directory as the flasher in my pc.
4. i run the command, flasher-3.5.exe -l -b -k kernel

then it gives me the "waiting for device" thingy >.<!!

by the way, by installing the froyo, it replaces the phone os? or can it be loaded from mmc only? thanks!!!

i thought can dual boot meego and maemo, keep maemo as main os and run meego from mmc?

my friend bought BH-503 arround 150
but of course not ori meh

hi, the 1 time temp flash is exactly what i want, i dont want to replace the default os, i juz want to try something new and keep the default one.
so the froyo installation will flash away the default os? or can i juz load it anytime i want and revert back the original maemo os when i want to?

but what i found is, flash the kernel to load the meego after restart, then restart again will load bk the original maemo, this is the mmc way...or is it not?
