[COLOR=purple]优化N900的rootfs

2.获得root
$ root

3.在xterm中进行以下操作,逐行输入,然后回车
mkdir -p /home/root/usr/share
cd /usr/
for FILE in games include local src var
do
mv $FILE /home/root/usr/
ln -s /home/root/usr/$FILE /usr/
done

mkdir -p /home/root/var/cache
cd /var/cache/
for FILE in apt
do
mv $FILE /home/root/var/cache/
ln -s /home/root/var/cache/$FILE /var/cache/
done

cd /usr/share/
for FILE in fonts icons locale mime nokia-maps pixmaps sounds themes tutorial-applet zoneinfo
do
mv $FILE /home/root/usr/share/
ln -s /home/root/usr/share/$FILE /usr/share/
done

mkdir /home/root/usr/share/games
ln -s /home/root/usr/share/games

4.重启机子。

When you install applications in N900 the applications will be located in the 2 gig / (root). With this method, it will move the applications file to your mmc, the 32 gig storage.

If your / is still lots of free space, no point for you to do this.

For those who need Chinese Input, i have tested the Stroke Order Chinese Input, there is no crash with virtual keyboard.

stroke is not really that difficult. if you know how to write chinese, you will know how to use it. In this application, there is a menu that will show all the possible characters of your input, which you can scroll and choose.

At this moment, i think we have no choice. sad.gif

Connect to wifi that need static IP? Do you mean you want assign IP address to your wifi connection? Try this:

setting-> Internet Connection -> Connections -> edit -> next -> next -> Advanced -> IP Address
