I have found the best place to buy boxes... it is at

http://www.quinocycle.com/

No. 13, Jalan Taming P/1, (Off Lebuh Taming)
Taman Taming Jaya, 43300 Balakong
Selangor, Malaysia.
Tel: 6016 626 1092

I say, your drive/trip there is worth it. They easily own other box companies in terms of choices and pricing. I will upload few pictures of their warehouse for your appreciation.

We really appreciate your honest response on our BLUEBOX service and pricing. We have previously done a detailed calculation on the cost and all the circumstances relevant to a person that is planning for relocation to justify the price we offer. This is a pricing and cost comparison to our offered Package A BLUEBOX rental, other larger scaled box rental packages offered would result to be much cheaper.

Our service is design for our customers to be able to pack, move and unpack in less than week on a regular relocation process, eliminating the time and hassle of using regular cardboard/carton boxes. Our box design has also proven to be able to pack up to 55% more than what a regular cardboard/carton box can pack with consideration that it will still be easy to handle (hand lifting, moving on trolley, stacking ability).
Movers also save approximately 50% of time spent on loading and unloading our boxes for relocation. Aside from these benefits, our users can be rest assured that their valuables packed are safely handled as our BLUEBOX reduces the risk of damage and theft during the whole relocation process.

Here is a cost breakdown comparison for a user using cardboard/carton boxes for a regular relocation packing.

___________________________________________________________________________________________
Cost of relocating with Cardboard/Carton Boxes: (Price compared to Package A offered)

TOTAL Measurable Cost = RM 295.50

NEW Cardboard Boxes (M Size) RM8.5/pc x 23pc = RM 195.5
Tape Dispenser = RM10
Bulk of packing tapes = RM30
Bubble Wraps = RM20
Transportation to source packing essentials = RM25
Transportation to dispose used boxes & other packing wastes = RM15

Other Unmeasurable Disadvantages:

Time spent on sourcing packing essentials – Unmeasurable
Time to build up cardboard boxes – unmeasurable
Valuable’s Risk of damage during transit and handling by movers – subjected to user
Time to responsibly dispose of used boxes and packing wastes – Unmeasurable
Cleanliness of packed items using cardboard/carton boxes – subjected to user
Labour charges of movers to handle your packed removals – subjected to user & movers.
___________________________________________________________________________________________

We truly hope that this would help everyone on their decision when planning for a relocation.
A relocation process is never easy, but we do our best to aid our customers so they may focus on more important tasks for their relocation plans.

Try asking those kedai runcit, speedmart 88 and etc.. they usually have alot...

1) ask them whether you can take (for free) or not.
2) else you gotta pay them

I'm not sure about the size of the boxes fit your needs or not but I've done something embarassing at NSK where I went in the supermarket with trolley, talk to the staff whether can I buy those used boxes that are empty and I happened to talked to one of the supervisor there (you need to talk to the supervisor in order to buy it since you need their clearance at the counter later) and he ask me to go around the supermarket and collect empty boxes that I want to buy. Then head to counter with the supervisor and ask him to do the magic at the cashier and give you receipt + the price for the boxes. lel.

Usually your place got alot. Company usually have people sending items to your office.

Tell your admin you need some. Should have no problem.

If you go to mini market it is more difficult because they sell for recycle. Unless you friend with the boss of mini market, you will not get them.

Best ask your company admin.

boxes or carton boxes ? normal boxes 1 ply no flute are called offset boxes. flimsy not for heavy duty usage.
carton boxes = corrugated. these are the ones with flute (air space between 2 pieces of paper) for heavy duty usage.

which do u need ? offset boxes or corrugated cartons ?

for offset - percetakan tenaga, kinta press
for carton - GS or muda paper or bintang packaging.

Just went and bought some boxes at Quinocycle. Best deal for sure compared to theboxcompany, or packingmart, or boxman.com. Worst is Ace hardware as theirs is superexpensive.

Bought 20 boxes of used medium sized boxes for less than 3ringgit each. size? about 520mm x 400mm x 327mm. two large rolls of 10m bubble wraps (they're more than a meter wide) and 2 rolls of clingwrap and 3 packing tape. all for about 150ringgit. Nice.

Quinocycle!! Highly recommended. You just go there, look at the sizes you want and the used ones are almost brand new. No problem to use. WAy way cheap. smile.gif Go look up Quinocycle Waste Management on Waze or Maps.

BTW just a heads up you are replying a 13years old post.

And yes, including groceries like Lotus, Speedmart, they will give if they got extra
