The Thinker

This is one photo that I have to say duh doh.gif doh.gif !! I really love the posture of the man, but I didn't realize I caught the hand on the right. Tried a second shot but by then he noticed me already and changed his pose. Arrrrgh vmad.gif !!! Also so many people watching.

In street photography can you say "Encik boleh tepi sikit tak? Wa mau ambil gambar!" hmm.gif

Do you think the hand really distracting. Tried to crop but too much gone. Spoil the aspect ratio. This is the full frame as scanned. Very minimal pp. Auto only I think and default unsharp mask.

Or I can say that the hand gives context to the picture, telling a story, meaning there is a crowd watching the game. Lame or not?

Any additional comments appreciated. What about color balance? Ok or not?

p/s - Also a bit of scratch on the neg. Lazy to pp.

Hiroboi: the hands are ok, I think it helps in your composition as well, at least I don't think that the focus of the photo has been ruined by the hand.

Quote from a guest speaker regarding street photography during the alpha convention:" a good street photo must be 3 layers deep" This means your foreground, subject and background must each contribute to make up a story. So I guess the hands in the pic might mean that there was another spectator looking and thinking as well (besides the 2 people there).

Just my 2 cents =]

*edit* p.s. Personally I think the patterns of the floor on the left hand side distracts me more lol!

Thank you yuhi and rx330.

Here is my second shot after he saw me and change his pose. Not so nice lorr. I tried to exclude as much as possible the people nearby, but still got Adidas!! mad.gif vmad.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif biggrin.gif Wat to do. So many things cannot control in street shooting. rclxub.gif

Wah!! To fix the distracting pattern ... need 20 thousand linggit lens lorr. De blurr. Or maybe use photoshop gaussian blurr 10 times and claim its via 20 thousand linggit lens. hmm.gif

@HiroBoroi: I personally like the 1st picture better. What distracts me more is the blurry red lettering on the left sweat.gif Maybe if you cannot exclude the guy out, then include him in. The thinker and the spectator biggrin.gif

Yeah.. was considering cropping it. I wanted to frame it between the 2 pillars but the uncle and aunties dances surprisingly fast doh.gif

Sniper,

Nicely framed there. I also got umbrella ... but no frame one cry.gif . The lady with glasses almost touching the edge of the picture doh.gif . I should have pan to the right a bit. But then I saw this lady in blue on the left hmm.gif . Can counterbalance flex.gif ? Lame reasoning sweat.gif ? Appreciate comments. Anyways in this encounter, I didn't take a second shot.

Aiyah ... Wont Spoil Your Hair La!
