Hi SGS users.

Possible future user here  tongue.gif

I have a question regarding data plans. Would 500MB suffice for regular always on connection usage?

By this I mean would a 500MB data allowance be sufficient for lets say Samsung's live updating apps, emails and social status updates (tweets, facebook) to last me for a month? Download of apps via the app market will be done using wifi connection. Thus the data connection will solely be used for the live updates purpose
*
For your information.....
If you are just surf net using 2G network only, 500MB is enough.....
But please keep in mind, do not switch 3G network.
cause once u change it to 3G , it will running fast..... 10MB in 5 mins........
u just calculate yourself.........

500MB is enough for everything in 2G network such as browsing internet, twitter, facebook, ebuddy, msn and etc.....

But if you plan to tethering with the SGS to your PC?
u need higher probably 3G (just RM78) ...........
the different for 1.5GB (RM68) and 3GB (RM78) is just RM10........
so just think for 500MB or 3GB......

best of luck....
do not become silly guy let Maxis charge u like hell

i m also on the 500MB data plan. and its seem like my sync usage is horrible and planning to get the higher plan.

if i signup to 1.5G or 3G and what if i use more than that ?
will maxis still charge me EXTRA ?
*
Hmmm...
for your information.
u cannot upgrade your data plan . cause you have signed up for 500MB for 1 year.
if u want to do so, consider breach of contract and need penalty for RM500.

so think it twice.........

I have the contract with me now, under clause 18, it stipulated like this:
Participants are not allowed to upgrade or downgrade the Mobile Internet Package or BIS Package within the Commitment Period. In the event a Participant decides to upgrade or downgrade, a Participant will have to pay the pre termination charge of RM500.
*
pls take note.....
this clause mentioned cannot upgrade or downgrade..........
