I used to be like you, especially after a hard 4 hour session with my coach.

Upon studies, I've found that this is caused by the repetitive action, and your body starts conserving energy. Our bodies become efficient at performing the action, thus we don't usually feel that hungry. ANother thing is because we've overtrained and all the body wants is to recover and rest.

When this happens, my coach switched the entire system of training. We went from snatches to pulls to deadlifts, to drop snatches to snatches and finally fast pulls. Then we moved to a short 5 minute circuit at the end. In just 1 week, my body started recovering better and training improved. So you could probably give tht a shot too

I have found that, when I switch back to my weightlifting training methods, it happens instantly. When I work in Pushmore, where I do a strength training protocol and then move to a Crossfit workout, I'm famished.

My body is extremely used to the 2-3 rep range, so by switching it to singles and 5's, it gets really hungry. I also improve better, when I'm hungry. I'm dead serious. When I felt full all the time, my improvements were at a tortoise pace. When I train and feel hungry, I've grown bigger and stronger and my training feels more, solid. My lifts are more consistent.
