hmm personally i would rate the 1.2kw psu's the following

1.AX1200 (Price RM1200 etc )
2.Antec TPQ/EVGA SR2 ( RM900/1.1k)
3.CM 1200 GOld ( slight ripple suppression but not as bad as the seasonic OEM's)(RM900)
4.Seasonic X-1200 (hmm theres a ripple suppression issue)( Should be same price as CM.. plus point on this over CM is molex connectors and FULLy modular)

ok ripple suppression on Seasonic X series , CM GOld, GX etc
one thing ppl forget the test was conducted on a oscilloscope with a loading machine.
With mobo PWM's etc itself also provide suppression. Just that with the AX1200 and powercache tech on Antec/EVGA u dont tax the mobo as much.

Extension plugs with ripple suppression is a myth or more like negligible
if this such a concern modular cables provide twice the resistance in length as fixed cables.

but seriously all this 4 psu's are good.

will post later next week
pics of CM1200 , Antec TPQ OC and AX1200 which corsair sending me next week.

actually interested in Antec TPQ OC

Single rail design vs Virtual Rail design.. ( u Can actually disable the virtual rails manually to make it single rail)
i always wished manufacturers gave this option

btw take the flextronic ax1200 result on johnny guru with a pinch of salt.
untill reviewers actually start testing retail units off the shelves

corsair is known to give handpick review units or lol screened units on all the products to reviewers

also hmm with their pricing of cudo

worldwide most psu's now are going at RM0.70 per watt for high end

malaysia around RM0.80 for the high end ones

ax1200 price already been released by cudo. its around the 1200 mark.
seriously ridiculous.

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Aug 22 2010, 12:06 PM)
The difference is minimal as the whole loop will get equilibrium.
I'd say ur setup is good to go. and no worries bro ur 5850 wont be as hot as gtx480  laugh.gif
*
+1 Thermal Equilibrium

few notes
u will only see non-equilibrium if u stress one component at one time
say like a proc thats hotter than a gc

but in real world.. this wont be true
most of the time ure cpu and gpu temps are around the same.

Wan to ask,if i nw using rev>pump>gpu>cpu>rad>rev again..is tis ok?or my cpu wil getting hotter since it getting the hot water after d gpu block?
*
ok doing this setup on a triple look with a overclocked i7 and a single gtx480
putting the gtx480 just increased my idle and load temp by 1 C

Oh..is that jus d 1c diff frm d single loop?i mean is jus cool the cpu block only..correct me if wrong.

Pump - Cpu - Mobo - Rad - Res - Pump

Rad Triple Rad

vs
Pump - GPU - Cpu - Mobo - Rad - Res - Pump

1 C difference on GPU and mobo temp

then

Pump - Gpu - Cpu - Single Rad - Mobo - Rad - Res - Pump

1 C difference n Gpu only.

seriously cant remember
but think last time the 20 i bought with shipping before vlad..
cost around 1k. later i bought 10 from vlad , think it was cheper but cant remember as i bought a lot of 90's 45's from him also that time.

two things y posted this build

Casing - Haf X - awesome for watercooling

its ready to accept a dual pass triple rad, with one 140 at the rear and another 140 at the front
with a possible of a 220 in the bay... no mod needed for anything even for the pump placement.

this casing has enough space even if u want to do a dual d5 top or a triple ddc setup.

Primo Chill LRT White 3/8 5/8th
Ive used it in the main build and just finished my spare on this rig

I always recommend ppl to go for compressions of 3/8th ID 5/8th OD.
cause the tube doesnt kink, and it doesnt clutter ure casing, and the difference with 1/2 is marginal at best.

EK
That X-Res is a first for me and i love it.
hmm not as cool as my bits+mcp655+bits mod..
but works great and half the cost.

BTW has anybody tried the Bits. Dual D5 top??

thinking of getting it next month after i add another dual rad into my main rig since theres so much space left.

eh condensation isnt the issue

rust
hmm but if u want to do that

better get a aquarium watterchiller
and replace ure res with that.

really don't get how rust can be a problem, can add anti rust or make ice cubes from distilled? i am more worried about condensation, lol. by the way, water chiller looks like a cool project http://saltaquarium.about.com/od/diychille...sdiychiller.htm smile.gif

right
forgot
u guys clock low
hence u will have condensation

carry on.

it doesnt really matter which one go 1st coz close loop will reach its thermal equilibrium.

lol been having that debate with vlad for a long time lol

hmm will test it out

hmm suprised afaik A77 doesnt have a PSU mount at the top

only A71's

A77F
http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product/produ...ss_index=61&g=f

A71's
http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product/produ...ss_index=61&g=f

A70's
http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product/produ...ss_index=61&g=f

hence y A77 are cheaper
