Lol, what warranty other than the shop warranty? I sold it off after the RROD get fixed lor, since PS3 Slim is just announced that time.

All in all, i have spent about RM4K++ on console alone, RM800++ for XBL Gold, Rm1K++ on *ahem* games (and more than half never play, or play 10 minutes ), RM400++ on original X360 games (yes, I do buy original for some), numerous DLC amounting to RM300++ plus arcade stick (RM800), plus Guitar Heroes guitars, drums, mic amounting to RM500.

Yeah, one expensive hobby. Not to mention the cost to repair RROD

On the other hand, PS3 Slim, console cost me about Rm1K++, no extra for online, might have spend about RM1k++ for games (and i played most of it, so money worth), and spend about RM600++ for DLC from PSN (and dlc some PSP games too). And no RROD, YLOD yet after almost one year (fingers crossed).

Yeah, you can do the math.

i have bought two X360, one is ELite when they changed the board to Falcon. Still RROD my ass until it cannot run anymore. Then I get a Jasper X360. Also RROD within 3-4 months zzzzzz. I give up and buy PS3 and never look back since.

I keep my living room well ventilated, place my console at airy place, with air con turn on. X360 still give me heating problem zzzzz.

You spend 4k on console alone? You bought 3 elite/Pro console?? And Live Gold for 800? Means you been playing online for at least 5 years? Whats your gamertag? I must have forgotten..

Btw, if you been using unmoded console all this while, you only need to buy 1 console as you can claim the warranty. If not because of 4k on consoles, the cost will be about the same for PS3 & 360.

Damn, last week i got 2 friend's PS3 hit by YLOD just after 1 year........ 

4k on console, one X360 Elite that time cost me RM2K++ (yeah, i didnt do reasearch and join up ere yet). then one X360 Pro Rm1.6K++ so, adding up is RM4K++ lol. As of XBL gold, i think i counted wrongly, i always buy 3 months pass, so for about one year + should be less than that

My XBL ID is panjanglsd. No longer in use. But most of the time playing COD4 previously.

Sound like wanting to curse our PS3 eh?

Think what you want in these lines:

1. Want to play online or not? If yes, PS3 is the way to go as online is free while you need to pay monthly for X360 online (provided you go original on X360). X360 online provide better experience though IMO, BUT you can't surf Net or Youtubing from X360 (unless something changed since the day I own a X360 Jasper).

2. Want to play which games? Most games are multiplatform so you can rule those out. You need to see which exclusives that you like on both platform. PS3, you will get Heavy Rain, God Of War III, Uncharted Series, Yakuza series, MGS4 (still one of the best IMO) etc. X360, you will get Halo, Mass Effect series, Fable, Gears Of War etc. So, see which one you like best.

3. original or pirated? Depends on your budget, and above preference too. If online is your concern, you need to go original. If you play the game for single player, then pirate is the way to go. I wouldn't recommend pirating though as you might miss out on software and patch updates for certain games.
