I just successfully applied for "change speed". So far so good, no problem encountered.

Now it's time to wait for them to practically increase my connection's speed. biggrin.gif

No wor. 4Mbps. I insisted for 4.5 or 5Mbps but the technician doesn't want to do it. He claims that my latency will suffer a bit. Oh well, it's true and so let it be biggrin.gif

QUOTE(aKiSuSu @ May 23 2011, 10:15 AM)
Hi guys wanted to ask,

My dad subbed a RM38 384kbps package last year November for me to use, I ve tried multiple times to upgrade my line to either 1MB or 2MB if possible 4MB. TMpoint rejected my application saying uni pack isn't allowed to change speed...Is this right? I ve talked to them for a very long time and they didn't entertain me, telling me that uni pack isn't allowed to modify speed.

I am stuck with 384kbps and annoyed as hell at the moment with a contract bonded for 2 years and not allowed to upgrade the speed.

Taipan TMpoint, I live in USJ Subang. Has anyone experienced this or anyone could help me regarding this?
*
Very sure that it can be done because many of us have got the speed changed.

If i want to change the speed, I still need to fill in any form?

Yes.

QUOTE(aKiSuSu @ May 23 2011, 10:28 AM)
Is it possible to upgrade online? How is the process of upgrading? will they send some technician to my house?? I am not at home often.
*
A technician will come for a short moment.

QUOTE(aKiSuSu @ May 23 2011, 10:40 AM)
They let you changed from Uni pack into another 4mb Uni pack for 4MB for RM88??

The first time I went (Last year December), they freaking told to me come back next year because of current upgrade is closed, need to wait until next year or whatever blah blah.

I went again this year February to upgrade my line and they rejected saying my line isn't allowed for upgrade and some-more I pleaded many times, the guy went and talked to his boss after 1 hour (sat there wait for an hour..great) came out told me I can upgrade to "standard" package only that cost RM88 for 1MB, and require me to present the student ID etc (it was registered under my sister since shes pursueing her degree in college) and it will take 1-2 weeks...what the hell...
*
I actually didn't ask about price. I just signed the form and get it done. Lets see how the bill would be later on.

I'm not sure. The technician switched ports before coming to my house. Then he comes to check SNR. If it's okay, he would use my house phone to make a call to TM to perform the upgrade. He will leave once the speed is confirmed upgraded.

The technician came to my house on Saturday evening.

How is your latency now? Are you willing to give up some latency for more speed?

CMOS battery finished. Let me guess, you always unplug the primary battery.

If you remove primary battery, the backup battery is being drained to keep the CMOS time running. Well, wear and tear. You cannot use things without sacrificing any tongue.gif

I'm not sure if you can replace the battery yourself. Pop the back cover open and see.
