Can you transfer to another existing line at the new place and cancel the one that came bundled with the CoolUniPack (or BB or whatever) package?

Just got back from TMPOINT.. what make me so curious is the guy at TMPOINT didn't give me anything as a "prove" that I have registered the new Streamyx UNIPACK. He only said that their contractor will come to my house within 5-14 days... And suprisingly, my old Streamyx account already terminated..... No cooling period also...  even though I just terminated it for less than hour ago... I'm online through Maxis broadband now....

Gosh! I'm really worry about this now..... because when I called 100, the person there said different, she said that if I terminate the account now, I will be imposed RM350 penalty charges.., It was because my father has upgraded to 1mbps basic streamyx 3 months ago... (new contract if i;m not mistaken) but the guy at TMPOINT said, I can terminate my account without any penalty fees.... And the guy at TMPOINT also didn't give me any receipt or slip for UNIPACK registration and termination of streamyx account as a prove....

Which person should I believe now, CSR at 100, or the guy at TMPOINT??????? I'm afraid of penalty charges now....

Oh, btw I'm applied Streamyx UNIPACK and terminate my streamyx at TMPOINT PARIT BUNTAR, Perak....

i got the unipack in may. now the modem router they gave has spoilt. anyone with experience on claiming warranty for TM supplied modems? will they replace? must i go to the branch or call?

my home line already installed after 1 week apply~wee~~btw..i apply for addition home line with unicool, since home line already reach, isit mean my application is confirmed and my lappy will come anytime?

can i straigh away call HP customer service number to check my laptop status even i just installed my modem for 2days ago??? ^^

Actually, according to the guy at TMPOINT, he said that my area can't support 4mbps streamyx. I can install 4mbps, but better he said better take "save" route... he afraid that line will be not stable for 4mbps.... Only 2mbps are maximum speed that it can achieve.

Oh, before I forgot, He also mentioned that my area are using fibre line... But, if i not mistaken, fibre line are for UNIFI (FTTH) isn't it?? From my limited knwoledge, Streamyx only use copper line..... Or maybe Fibre is new technology for Streamyx...??

And can I collect myself the wireless modem at TMPOINT?

Unfortunately, there is a new condition effective July 1st 2010, Unipack is subject to less than RM5k income. You may read it from streamyx.com.my itself which has it stated there for who is eligible.

ya the modem, my situation is like this, when i go apply i go apply 2m, but when he come active my acc, say i only register 1m, technician gave me riger modem and active my acc. afterthat  i go tm request upgrade my line to 2m, then technician come again with 1 more dlink 2640b.so i get 2 modem. izit subscribe a 2m will get dlink and 1m will get riger?

I also apply for 2mbps, but they give me the cheap and suc** riger modem.... 
Or it depends on what modem that the contractor have....

so is it possible for me to apply if i terminate my current service by this next week? Do i have to wait for any quarantine period or what? Thx

want to ask here if in the future my dlink modem got problem or kena lightning ,i should take to tm to claim warranty or where?tm will 1 to 1 exchange new modem or take the old modem to repair?any one experience this yet?

Guys,according to the first page,for existing Streamyx contract, the applicant need to pay penalty for the remaining contract period before applying Unipack. Is this true?

you are correct that there is now cooling period for new UniCoolPack application..but he is asking if he needs to pay penalty is he cuts his current streamyx subscription to apply for the UniCoolPack.

The actual answer is if he is still within the contract period, he will have to pay the penalty for terminating it. then he can apply for the unipack

I went 2 tmpoint already, 1 at kelana jaya n 1 at pj state. Both say cannot d. I actually asked for the black and white n they showed me a rather iffy looking email from their management stating "Stop taking anymore unipack packages until futher notice. If customer asked why, tell them Dari Pihak Atasan". =.= so sudden one, maybe budget for unipack finish already.
