i think i am going to skip the DHD too.

many think it is HTC tactics. If DHD is launched before HD7, who will even take a peep at HD7. But if HD7 launched first, some ppl may be succumb to its "newness" and buy 1 to try. Since HTC is the manufacturer of HD7, it sure want to at least clear its first batch of production.

I just switch to Digi Smartplan too without a contract last month. Initially giving up on Desire HD coz of the few unfavourable report - poor screen, poor battery life, not so good build quality, etc. But now - Digi offer a contract - if it is at good price, I think I will succumb to it.

Btw, anyone know if Digi after sales support for HTC phone is good or bad? Or the warranty will be handled by authorised dealer (Sis?)?

Why not go for Digi? I just change from Maxis to Digi SmartPlan for about 1 month plus - very happy with the coverage and connection speed around Johor Bahru/Skudai area. But the call connection not that consistent like Maxis though but I dun bother about it coz I dun use my Desire much for calling. Just heard my brother said his colleage complain about Maxis unreasonable data charges (about RM400 plus) even though he din use much data on his Desire. He is still dealing with Maxis to resolve that issue which i think faced by many Maxis user. That's the main reason i switch to Digi- i dun want to get a surprise bill amounting to hundreds of ringgit all becoz of billing problem of Maxis.

for ppl like me who are on Digi SmartPlan without contract, it is of course good for us to take a 1 year contract and get a lower price DHD. We are going to use SmartPlan anyway, so why not sign for 1 year get few hundreds off our ne phone.

he is using a traffic monitoring software - most likely 3Dwatchdog, i m not sure and he claim his usage is not that much. This is not an isolated case, you can find a lot these complaints in this forums.

you still can get a subsidized DHD if you sign up for a 1 yearcontract or more - it doesn't matter whether you are existing Digi customers or from other Telco. Unless of course you already bind in a contract now with Digi, then you may m=have to wait until the contract expires.

totally agree. I would rather it maintain the resolution as i am upgrading from Desire. I can just do a backup from Desire and then restore to the new DHD... every apps and data will be just fit in perfectly (hopefully).

good move indeed. I switch to Digi SmartPlan from Maxis last month, betting on they will bundle the Desire HD, I think i have hit it on the bull eye. With the DHD, i think many will port over to Digi. Frankly speaking, Digi has exceeded my expectation in Johor Bahru/Skudai area, the reception is good and average speed is around 1mbps at the place i normally at.
