u wont regret letting go a hardware powerhouse mate?  tongue.gif

the only thing that attracted me is 4.3" screen...(duno why tongue.gif )

SGS with nice hardware but without proper implementation of software = fail too...

froyo update for SGS perhaps would fix everything up.. the wierd thing is, why does all US SGS seems ok? they did not report a single thing during review etc.. DroidX GSM version perhaps would take a while to reach here, seeing the pace, perhaps by time it came out, much better phones are out.. DroidX if were to be released here surely would be around feb/march since there is still no such announcement yet.. Milestone 2 seems slow to be released too
*
US also have lag issue(from xda forum)
but i will pick droid x than desire hd if it available in GSM...

haha.. indeed man, true indeed.. waiting for some 720p samples here.. a video sample was requested and perhaps a 720p sample will be uploaded to see how is the fps doing.. the droidX maxed to only 24-26fps and GalaxyS is 30fps if im not mistaken according to my readings
*
i tot droid x at 30fps too?
ya SGS at 30fps but the camera not really good though

Pre-order available. Desire HD RM2550, Desire Z RM2280. - http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1564227

Quite reasonable I'd say. Wonder how much would this affect Desire's price.
*
that is a nice price i would say(to avoid all the hassle by urself)
if u get it from UK by urself, then u need pay tax,etc...

its 8MP isnt it? ive seen some of the samples but what i see is due to the megapixels but not the sensors.. the iPhone4 has a very good sensor indeed thus 5MP was actually enough..  its sensor versus megapixels and megapixels dosent actually portay the quality of the end product..

i do hope HTC Desire HD 8MP wont be dissapointing, at least its decent.. otherwise no use of the upgrade compared to other 5MP camera phones

The batter should be able to slide out from the bottom. Because its unibody design, it doesnt have a large battery cover. Same like the HTC Legend smile.gif
*
as u can see,you can slide out the bottom part cover too(for sim card and memory card i assume) and i cant see any battery cover on it

actually there is no actual detail from htc. it is big argument about its screen: TFT, SLCD or else... no body knows yet.
*
why nobody knows when HTC already release official video stated it is SLCD

QUOTE(ahtac @ Sep 19 2010, 02:54 PM)
Yes.. i should add the processor & GPU in my CONS. I never try SGS or Motorola's Froyo, but my nexus one is about 5X faster when upgraded; thanks to JIT VM.

Front camera is an option, im ok to without it. But the screen quality is key; 800x400 for TFT and SLCD/Amoled/Super Amoled, really make differences.

Internal memory still an issue. According to my nexus one froyo, even though it has App2SD but there is still some files stored inside, especially those games. Its not like WM, can store the whole file externally. Some more not all app enable App2SD.

Actually i have lost my nexus one, looking to get another android phone. Too bad that since N1 launched in Jan, HTC still not able to produce another breakthrough product. SGS or DHD....still thinking
*
dude,HTC has 1.5GB internal memory and i think is enough for all the apps that u want...even 1.8GB in my SGS is more than enough(i have nearly 100 apps including games)..

Seriously with such big screen HTC should think to upgrade the resolution for the screen, take for example, i have both Galaxy S & Iphone 4, & i compared both side by side, eventhough SGS using super amoled screen & Iphone 4 just LCD, but due to the Iphone 4 have higher resolution it really look amazing, you can't find any 'pixel' on the screen.
*
IMO, android apps doesnt support high resolution screen yet like Galaxy Tab..have a look at Google search widget in Galaxy Tab,it never fit the screen(4 x 4 only)

thats why the tablet for android still early for now...

i think the screen is not SLCD because they cant get the 4.3" in SLCD..so far all SLCD only available on 3.7"

even it is LCD like HD2,
is it really that bad that could make buyers to forget about all the other improvements and new tech in Desire HD?
is screen really such a big matter?
*
if u have seen AMOLED/Super AMOLED,etc that better than normal LCD then it will be different thing..
is not really big matter but its all about the beautiful of the screen that u can look with ur eyes...
and it would be nice if this 4.3" screen fit with at least SLCD...
u can see that many other latest phone using many kinds of LCD technology(even iphone and nokia(not sure which 1 de))

u will know why when u try compare normal LCD with galaxy s(Super AMOLED)

EDIT: LCD is like a trend now...last time people look for CPU and RAM but now they look for screen too...

well ask yourself: if the DHD turns out to be only SLED will you still buy it?

Personally i rather be having a screen that works best under the sun. I cant even remember how many time i was under the sun and cant read my phone. Take the iphone 4 for example, IPS LCD that most ppl use for colour accuracy... I do not remotely know why I would do photo editing (where colour accuracy is the most crucial requirement) on an iphone.
*
if only i have money and willing to sacrifice super amoled from my galaxy s then why not??
seriously its kinda hard to "downgrade" the beautiful screen like super amoled to LCD..
its like u having a nice graphic card but u downgrade to lousy graphic card...

honestly, i got no problem using my phone under the sunlight and heck, do you always use ur phone under the sunlight?
at least i still can make a call/read sms when im walking on the street under the bright sunlight.
but not sure about AMOLED...

and don't tell me u can read or see the things clearly in the screen under direct sunlight
