i think O'neil is one of the best british managers.. behind the red nose. tongue.gif

he do achieve something in scotland league and bring villa to top level without much resources.

if mancini goes out, he probably goes to citeh. or back to scotland again.
*
i honestly rate moyes and redknap further up than him.. scottish league only have two teams.. so doesn't count tongue.gif

villa already a mid-table team even before he joined..nothing change.

anyway, on to more relevant to LFC i think the kirdi n syrian company bid is a tactics used by the yanks to delay and ask more money from other bidder(s). read somewhere kirdi is friend with gillette's son.

to think of it again.. I admire those who doesn't know the club history and doesn't even bother about how successful this club was in the past and yet they are so passionate with more than 100% support to the club no matter what happened. For me they are by far the better supporter than those who's just more passionate about the history, the glorious past and the record statistics.... the real 'glory hunter'.
*
i smile when read your post. it's the first time i heard about your version of 'glory hunter' definition. i failed to see why 96 people died in tragic way and a shite newspaper made up a filthy stories just to sell their shit got to do anything with glory hunting. history is not all about glory, cups and title, you know?

Think its the pre-match cream suit by Armani. Ah...Collymore & fowler + Macca, that brings back memories of kamikaze footie...sight to behold but won nuts wink.gif
To echo Jonno, if one have a time to dig up news on transfer, cant fathom how one cannot click on wikipedia. Thats the easiest way to know general but important things about Reds.
Makes one wonders why the debates & posts deteriorate, aint it whistling.gif

ahh.. the cream armani suits. i'm ashamed to admit that i find that suits so stylo at the time (hey i'm a teenager that time ok.. gimme a break tongue.gif)

There's plenty of Meijer stories that made him cult figure in Anfield even though his time in Liverpool is short. Can't really remember watching him played that much but I love reading stories about him.

No other player has so much stories except for Carra i think.

Confusion surrounds Kirdi bid
Yahya Kirdi has added fresh confusion to takeover talk at Liverpool after announcing that he wants "at least two months" to consider a deal.

Sky Sports News reported on Monday that the former Syria international and his consortium of Middle East investors could sign an initial purchase agreement with the Premier League club before Sunday's season-opener against Arsenal.

The news raised hopes among some Liverpool fans, who are desperate to see the end of the co-ownership of George Gillett and Tom Hicks, although others have met Kirdi's interest with severe scepticism.

And fresh quotes from the businessman, which suggest that he could want a minimum eight weeks to think about completing any takeover, will add further uncertainty to his approach.

"I want at least two months, two months to see everything," Kirdi is quoted in The Times as telling Bloomberg.

"After that, if everything is OK, it's a deal. If not, 'thank you very much'."

Kirdi has also risked the wrath of some Liverpool followers by suggesting that former boss Rafa Benitez did not do anything positive for the club, despite winning the Champions League in famous style in 2005.

"I've liked (Liverpool) since I was young," he said. "Rafael didn't do anything good for Liverpool. (Roy) Hodgson is very good for Liverpool because he's not some kind of dictator."

Sky Sports News reported that the consortium has agreed to pay off all of Liverpool's debts and that funds will be supplied to complete the planned construction of a new stadium in Stanley Park.

this line is enough is shown how clueless he is eventhough he's an ex-footballer. probably media has twisted his exact words but still.. i choose to believe this is a tactics from the yanks to buy more time and fishing for bigger bid.

as for crouch, wonder why would RH wanted him if its true. Crouch left because he wanted more playing time and if Torres stays fit I cant see him as 1st choice. Prefer Cole plays behind Torres while jova left, kuyt/maxi right.

i think the has been a short discussion on the involvement of the distorted SC logo, some including me thinks its not right to involve SC in it, after all, its not their fault

its a good 'parody', 'design' whatever you can call it, but if you are SC and you have just given a club 31 million of cash per year you would at least think you deserve nothing like this

just my 2 cents
*
i think you are missing the point of these shirts. it's suppose to be a campaign to boycotted the club's official merchandise as long as the Yanks are the owner because big percentage (if not all) the profit coming from these official merchandise will be use to pay for the debts and not to club's fund. so if all the fans boycotted, one source of money for the Yanks to service the debt is gone and they will feel am extra problem to pay the interest on time.. hence a small step to pressure them to sell up.

standard charted will not be totally hurt because during all matches.. the team will still wear the official shirts, their logo also will be all over anfield and they can always use the players for their ads.

a bit gutted we didnt take all 3 points but one unlucky goal deny us. but still a good spirit shows by the players. the arse were playing with extra men but failed to dominate. their fans should be worried. i take the point..

losing cole for a couple of games because a harsh decision by the ref. the refs is a disgraced this game.

well, we are fooled by luck.

First the red, then N'gog's lucky goal (bcz it's Almunia tongue.gif) then Reina's own goal...
*
No. He deserved that. That was the only decent chance he get and he slot it in with a great finish. He also works his socks off the whole game. Working alone up front.

Jova was great too. He'll fit in soon enough. Meanwhile, Masch played with passion and MOTM. Too bad he's off to Inter or Barca.

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Aug 16 2010, 11:16 AM)

I've always maintained that luck is always used as a convenient excuse when you lose. It also takes a readers attention away from the fact that using the word, "luck", can sometimes cover up a teams ineficiencies. In the end we were outplayed for much of the game. The only reason people feel sorry for us is because of the manner in which we conceeded the equaliser. If Rosicky's attempt had sailed into the net earlier, few would feel that the result was harsh on us.
*
i agree we were outplayed in the 1st half but on the 2nd were more balanced considering we down to 10 men.

Is Agger alright? He looks like he's almost pengsan..
