iphone has created a symbol or status of its own. It is more to form and fit rather than function. The symbol or status had made it self like a religion. Very hard to convert. This is a very successful marketing. Is like Toyota until the recent recall which really hurt their brand. It will take more than just functionality or antenna issue to impact the branding of apple image.

this symbol has affected the world due to the apple brand. Is like people owning LV or COACH bag, they all works like ordinary bags, but it is the symbol and status that count. So apple fanbois doesnt really care what doesn't work, or how many times it hang, or whether the battery last or not. For them, is as per design and is ok to be different to the rest of the world. But, you may say they discussed those issue in their forum arent those a problem? Well they are, but the symbol of status suppress every single issues this things carries. It used to carry special or different kind of functionality like those pinch effect of flip flop pages of apps... but is common now among android and even symbian 3 etc etc. But, iphone started it...

For me, any android phones is very capable of delivering great capabilities even a simple file transfer via bluetooth which iphone still stick with their principle. It can get many free appps and great games too. But is just an OS for mobiles. Even MS start to get worry with Android because it eating share on tablets and soon web PC.

In the end, none of the android phones will win. HTC has made a great moved to run Android largely in US market. until this brand move it self up to a great religion like iphone, it will just be another android phones.

But, the recent hoo haa in US on Androids phones like HTC Evo, Droid X, Samsung Galaxy S has created or advertised it self to the apple owners that there is a new thing out there. Some jump into the wagon to be early and some still hasitate to convert. Those who realize the capability, enjoy the new Evo and let their Iphone become a game box. But the growing numbers of androids enable daily worries apple. The recent quality issues I read in the net has lot of relation to get it into market 1st before the android army start flooding the market. A very smart moved by apple.


Till then, I dont care if people see me carry a SE or a HTC, I just enjoy an android very much and my x10 mini works like wonder to me. My brothers who owns Iphone 3GS hasitate to compare functionality with me know my camera is better, I got really great 3D games, my GPS works well..... and the list goes on. I wonder why? It start to make the 3GS look sooo errrrmmm CHEAP?? maybe.... I dont know.
