Someone pasted article about NexusOne being discontinued and tried to say Android failed? From where they are coming from, I can clearly see the insecurity. Let's say Apple didn't continue on Iphone, it will just die.
Here's the difference in Android. You see different manufacturers coming out with varying specs and different pricing that can cater to nearly all income groups. You can get a 1K Android or a 3K Android, up to you.
Nexus One was Google's flagship product two years ago (iirc) to signal the intent of Google's support towards it's Android platform to boost market confidence. Back then in the time where Android was still in it's early stages and only hardcore fans following. It's no longer the case now. Acceptance for Android grew and there are tons of Android phones to chose from now.
Choice, yes bcos it's open platform. But very unfortunately, no android maker can match apple in design. ..<and other texts>...
Design, eh? I'll put the 'you-must-hold-iphone4-differently' LOL design aside for now. Check out the drop tests found in Youtube. First video is Iphone4 dropped at waist height and the second video is HTC Legend tossed 5-6 feet from waist height.
Iphone4 drop test
HTC Legend drop test
Iphone4 screen is shattered, Legend screen is not. What I'm trying to point out is not Iphone4 is a bad phone, it's the attitude of fanboys projecting their phones as the all mighty invincible phone

I only have 5800XM (with Android UI because it looks awesome nd functions better. LOL) and plan to get Android as my next phone. Preferably next year when gingerbread is released.
Incidentally, my last previous phone is also 5800xm. I got Legend after a conscious decision to be updated with the new wave (Android). RM1000 was all I can afford to fork out for a new phone and Digi promo at that time was at the peak. Luckily my mom got to inherit the 5800xm.
My next phone would be in about 18 months and around RM2000. At current rate, I won't be settling for anything less than 4.3" by then.
