Can you post the picture of yours pearling??? Please???

Mine got bubbles on it but I'm not sure if its pearling or the CO2 bubbles from the pollen diffuser got stuck in it???

Its suppose to have more and more stem, the tall ones will grow plantlets and you can replant them...

The leave dying is temporary... Mine also did that when I first started using pressurized Co2, it'll settle once they adapted to it...

But its also normal for leaves that are lower to die off too, cause not enough light reaching them blocked by the higher leaves...

Hey guys, I actually just found out that I've been under fertilizing my aquarium all these time. Only been fertilizing 25% of whats recommended by the instruction...

Want to share my first pearling... This is the first time it ever happened in my tank...



The light intensity of the T8 are not strong enough, so the pearlings are concentrated on the upper part of the water sprite...

I got my my palm size spiky moss for RM5 just a few months ago... But it depends on what type of moss your getting also...

No... You'll get green water by the time you get back.

Get a timer, you'll need it...

Once, I got green water by having my lights on for 2 days...

But you can always try and let us know...

If you went through form 6, you can just use the scissor and forceps in the dissection set they make you buy. Surgical grade, I used mine for almost 2 years and it never rusted, unless your looking for long ones la.

BTW, anyone here keeping ember tetra??? Is it compatible with red cherry shrimp???

I kept RCS with rasboras before and they wiped out my population of RCS.

My rasboras had a buffet, 30 RCS...

This was the condition of my tank when I loss my 30 RCS to the rasboras... Algae plague and the stunted growth of my plants...


You can see the 'predators' responsible for my loss in the shadow of the driftwood...

Standard 2 feet tank, just a bit taller than normal 2 feeters...

It was loose then, its abit better now... After the Co2, removing the rasboras and putting in a 2nd batch of RCS for the algae control...


Compact enough for a go at ember tetras??? I heard they only grow to a max of 2cm, is it true???

@aBc!!, It means its time to trim it... Scissors time!!!

Well... First, I found out that my plants were having stunted growth and turning yellowish was because I stopped dosing fertilizer since the algae attack occured. So I restarted my dosing regime...

Second, for the algae problem, I used to have ottos cleaning it up for me but they died and living in Kuala Terengganu I could only get them when I go back to KL. So instead, I bought RCS and had them posted to my place as my new algae cleaning crew. Cause for whatever reason, the ottos will die every 4 - 5 months, I don't know why.

Third, I restarted injecting Co2 by using DIY yeast method and it helped a lot also to control the algae and help the plant growth.

Fourth, I also decreased my lighting period from 13 hours a day to 11 hours a day and put the timer according to the sun. Cause I used to have the light on at 10 am and off at 11 pm. So then it was 9 am to 8 pm.

This is what I did to recover, it'll be different on different tanks. So you can modify it according to your tank...
