Oh yeah man crap I should have gotten guppies but then I think they're more xp here. 1 tetra cost me rm1.80. Guppies are like er.. hmm. 2.50 each i think not sure liao. Anyways, out of the 26 of em 5 still live now! lolx. must be danm bad water lolx.

Anyways, am thinking of using LED's for lighting? it's so much cheaper and easier to order. hehehe
*
Guppies is less than Rm1.00 if you buy from Jalan Pasar, Pudu.

icic...then I would suggest him go to buy some dead shrimp from market and throw to his tank. this will increase the ammonia level in his tank. tongue.gif

during my 1ft tank, i have few hundreds rcs with bout 5 green tetras, 2 ottos & 1 sae... no problem with them and rcs keeps breeding non stop...

now my 1.5ft tank with bout 8 fish, 2 ottos, 2 sae, last nite still can see few shrimplets lepak2 eating...

i think smaller fish like tetra make no harm if having lots places for rcs & shrimplets to hide...

rcs is the easiest to breed... u dun have to do anything for them to breed  rclxm9.gif

i would say just ensure water is clean and if using co2 make sure not to excessive that will kill shrimps... indication of lots of co2 shrimps will die 1st then only fish... i read also if more o2 will make them happy... so once a while i slow down co2 or make more water movement from outlet filter so that will have more o2... but this will invite bba as inconsistent of co2 supply but i dun care hehe...

once u have matured male female, they will breed non stop...

this is my last time population hehe...

wow..That 's a lot RCS man...

Well, I'd two females rcs in my tank and i am not sure the gender of other rcs. The females was bought 3 months ago and they are carry eggs.
Unfortunately, they kick out the eggs after harass by my neon barb. doh.gif .
Anyway, i "migrated" the bard to bukit jalil pond tongue.gif . So all my shrimp are happy in my tank now. But they don't breed. wink.gif

My tank temperature is always 28 degree Celsius. Would it be too high for RCS?

@Superdude ,

Ok i try by change 30% water from my nano.

Anyway guys so far untill now no fish die after putting the anti chlorine , that's mean all the time there still abit of chlorine in my tank  ........ sad.gif    Oh My Fishy
*
how old is your tank?
you have to cycle your tank at least 1 months. Let the beneficial bacterial build up in your tank and filter.
If you put fish into your tank before it mature. Some fish cannot adapted to the new tank due to water parameters is not stable.
I remember last time i lost 20 guppies in one week because of that.

I don't have issue with anti chlorine. I bought my anti-chlorine from Jalan Pasar, Pudu. RM1 per bottle. brows.gif
Sometime i just pour directly to the tank after water change. so far i don't see any bad effect to my fishes and shrimps.

Guys, why my java moss like dat 1. Btw i plant java moss b4. It was suppose to be dark green/green. I bought mine from EastAqua  at MidV. The Moss is inside the plastic, so i suspect it lacks of something. Maybe phosphorous or iron?? Or wadever. Or is it ok??  icon_question.gif

>Btw i bought my drawf hair grass potted(emersed), so is it natural that some of my grass are turning brown due to acclimation??
Substrate:GEX red packet

Lighting: 3.5 watt per gal. 6 hours of light at midnight till 6am.

You need CO2. your plant will die in week if no CO2.

What Michanz said is IF you wants all your shrimps are safe without been devoured, better to just setup a shrimp-only tank.

Your 3feet tank got what else fish inside? yes, your bigger shrimp might be living else, what about shrimplets, did u really go to count them?
*
Agreed. my bee shrimps gone to my fish stomach last time. The expensive fish food they ever had. cry.gif

Yeah! my shrimplet hatched in my egg tumbler after two weeks.. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif thumbup.gif

I saw three of them. It really tiny. I think my guppies will like to give them a deadly 'kiss' sweat.gif

I better raise them in the egg tumbler until they reach their adulthood.

Guys.
How long does shrimplet take to growth to adulthood?
