I see you got Amazon swords... Did they bloom yet? Very nice plant IMO.. But its a heavy root feeder...

So..that its name is it? blush.gif Dun understand what you meant by bloom, but it grew very tall and very fast in my tank, and when I cleared my jungle, i removed them...

Problem is how fine the two substrate are... If the white sand is finer than the soil you using... It can seep through the soil and bit by bit you lose that path...

Darn... Bought a snakeskin guppy from Alive Aquarium yesterday, and found it dead this morning without his tail and head...  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  Have no idea how the hell that happened... Same thing happened to my last male guppy...

Thats the challenge is it? After awhile with the current tank, the hand is itchy to try something new.

Now, should I plant first, let it stabilized first before forming the path? Need to do some googling!

creatig a path or river damn easy..

creating a GOODLOOKING path or river is not easy.. lol

use like a plastic sheet or strips to laydown the pathway to seperate soil and white sand..

pour in white sand and takeaway the plastic seperator..

hard to explain.. just google "creating white sand path in aquascaping" or something sure can find journals.

Thanks Mich, yes need to goggle...

Shd I get Shirui sand or white silica sand? I have seen LFS selling Shirui sand, but can I get white silica sand easily? Which one will be better?

Anyway just planning to create a pond, not a path or river...

I have black tetras, rummy nose tetras, flying foxes, otto, all living happily with my yamatoes, but once I introduced snow whites and black angel fishes, the yamatoes gone. Dunno who is the culprit.

Was at Jusco Kepong today and saw a big planted aquarium. Saw this plant with white cotton-like stuff on the leaves, is this part of the plant or algae?

Also I moved my SAEs to my kids aquarium and now have a shrimp tank, bought 5 RCS from EA Ikano last night. The SAEs can now fight with the Yellow Cichlid...

Thats why I go nano tanks, small so no need to spend so much, lights no enuf? maybe i just take the 55W 2' light from my other tank. Got 2 there but only switch on one..
