hc quite mafan 1.. temp not good, it dont grow, co2 not good wont grow, light not power wont grow. but some people get lucky.. hantam also will grow.

all newbies go thru the same thing.. i passed that stage of a newbie so i know most of the problems the newbies will face.

hi all. i need some help over here. i have setup a paludarium. i need some plants in the water and i know nothing about them. k. basically i need 3 types of plant. 1. carpet grass. 2. plant that can emerge from water surface 3. short plant that looks like a pineapple plant.

no CO2 in the tank. weak lighting coz it's mainly for ferns and mosses. ferts and some potting soil will be use as bedding. (potting soil for my water lily recommended by the nursery, and guppies are swimming healthy in the pot)

anyone can help me out by recommending some plant species? thx.

yea, i am thinking of using moss too. is the moss in water same with the one on land? lotus plant need a lot of light and space, so it's nt really feasible.

How much is the holland sand? Where can I get it? Firstly I didn't think about want to involve in planted tank but soon after that I got myself poisoned ; )

Could anyone recommend me a "not too expensive" liquid fertilizer for my plants? Preferably under RM 30 per bottle ; ) [budget very limited]

Any sifu here keep livebearer fish in their planted tank? As I know plant prefer soft water but livebearer fish prefer hard water.
