the GTX460's performance per value and also per watt pawns the GTX465 hands down and yet RM100+ cheaper Your choice
let me get this right
GTX460 use GF104 chip while GTX465 use GF100 chip...yet the card with new chip is cheaper...KEWL rite

haha i guess i m the rare ones then i crank everything up including AA x16 AF x16 n vsync off due 2 game lag a lot when i enable vsync many years ago...hence i still stick 2 my perception now that vsync sucks bcoz i m the type who like 2 gain maximum fps at all costs more than 60 fps at least
hey dudes...can recommend the best cooler 4 my aging 4870???after installing 10.8,,,my idle temp suddenly shoots up at 80 degress...then when i manually set the fan speed 2 30% only can get 70 degrees...i like that custom cooler 2 b able 2 bring down the temp 2 lowest 20 degrees idle if is ever possible budger RM500

haha thks 4 the recommendations...looks like 1 cooler wont b enough 2 cool the gpu s need more than 1 custom fan install aiyoyo...i was hoping 4 slapping-n-leaving it kind of cooler but 2 bad never mind i will fix em some other time hehe
sweet...looks like my GC going 2 decrease n decrease again the 2nd last digit 4870 > 5850 > 6830 (if i ever plan 2 buy one lulz) i still prefer like this 4870 > 5870 > 6870 but 2 bad no budget 4 that

But I heard the mid-high end hd6000 series are only out next year.. Sigh Im in a dilemma, to wait for hd6000series so that current gc prices drop,buy hd5850 cf or gtx460sli since I don't think I can afford the prices of the new cards..
haha since sli scale better,,,then take 460 sli lor but make sure your board can support sli n its cheaper combo compare with 5850 cf 4 now...if u wanna wait,,,make sure it drops less than 500 per piece so that u can spend 1k only 4 sli n i say thats a great bargain seriously
The prices will drop, but I don't expect it to drop drastically. In any case, buying older hardware with old problems doesn't really appeal. I mean, who in their right minds would buy a hot HD 4850 or HD 4870 when you have newer, more powerful and more cooler HD 5850 and HD 5870?
i m selling my old 4870 soon...going 4 the gtx460 4 my 2nd computer...higher than that is no longer possible when i m going 2 finish college n that means no more pocket money from daddy the reason of selling is i hate the noisy noise n massive heating...so stay tuned 4 my updates in garage sales yo
Guys I have a question, how do HD2900XT 512MB compare to HD5670 512MB?? thx
lolz y the downgrade get something like 5870 if u spend about 1500 4 the 2900xt last time 2 answer your question,,,i say is way slower like hare n tortoise race like that haha
I didnt spend 1500 for my 2900xt last time, its my 3rd backup PC, i guess i spent like 2XX-3XX last time on that card, i just bought 50" LG Plasma TV and connected that PC to it, and the images are horrible, so i thought its time to upgrade that card, but i dont want to spend so much on that old PC, maximum of RM350 for the GC upgrade, now my problem is that PC has 380W PSU, going for 4xxx series is just wrong as it will require me to upgrade my PSU as well and it is contrary to what i want which is not spending so much money on that pc.. hope anyone can shed some lights
haha ic...then i guess its 2nd hand card u buy eh...i tot u buy it when it 1st launched which is more than 1.5k that time then i guess 5670 is your only safe option left
