Hi, not sure if I can ask this Q here, but here goes:

Does anyone have experience sending parcels overseas? I am planning to send it by air to Australia (need it to reach by the end of the month - est. 4kg = RM90.60). It will take abt 2 weeks according to the post office personnel. Or, if there is any better options (in terms of rate/speed) that anyone can suggest? Thx smile.gif

me use Pos Malaysia send item to my sisters one at Russia and one at Irelead...

both take more that 2 month...the Rusia one take more time to reach...

they also will open yur item to check it out...

2 months? Did you send them by normal parcel or by air? When you asked them how long it'll take, did they tell you 2 weeks, or 2 months to reach?

Does it mean that if I bring it to the post office, I should not seal it first? But, bring it as it is there? After they checked it, then only I can wrap it? I heard that parcels need to be wrapped in brown paper? Did you wrap it, and if you did, how many layers?

My item is fragile type also.

Do you have the money? Use courier such as fedex will cost you around 200

never try parcels... but sent letters to aus b4...takes bout 1-2 week to reach ... using normal pos

PosMalaysia to Canada via sea about 2-3 months, via air about 2-3 weeks. Tracking system sucks until it reaches Canada when Canada Post takes over the tracking.

Should be okay. Just be patient and wait for it. DHL/Fedex would have much better tracking though (and much more expensive).

If use Pos EMS sure fast. I order stuff from japan and use EMS, and arrive within less than 5 days.
