QUOTE(lwliam @ Jul 11 2010, 10:22 PM) i nearly always prefer to drive own car to wedding shoots, its for own convenience coz i sometimes might need to overnight at their place (and usually its a motel room) so, in the morning, their family will be too busy with their stuffs, and i wouldnt wanna hassle them to come fetch me. No la, I mean for those shots where u need to shoot the wedding car on the road. |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jul 11 2010, 11:18 PM) If NEX-5 can do FullHD video, does it mean it has a slightly better/different APS-C sensor than NEX-3 ? It is exactly the same camera. NEX5 just got Magnesium body n 1080i video n can use the Alpha IR remote control. That's the only difference. Which 1 u take depends on whether ur bekside itchy enuf to pay more only. |

QUOTE(davidwee1987 @ Jul 11 2010, 11:47 PM) Hi Alpha thread sifus.I am a new Nex 5 user. I use pancake n fisheye for sweep panorama both oso very nice, no problems. Only problem for most ppl is u need to practice a smooth sweeping motion for a nice seamless picture. Experienced photogs who r good at panning will get much better results. Got a question to ask why does sweep panorama shutter speed for zoom lens is 1/60 but when change to pancake lens is 1/500. This makes the image from pancake lens too dark. in addition i experience some brown discoloration in the pictures in sweep panorama mode in pancake lens. Anyone experiencing the same thing ? |

QUOTE(musica3173 @ Jul 11 2010, 11:49 PM) Whether or not it does 1080i has nothing to do with the sensor. It's 1 of the ways Sony justify the higher price tag for the NEX-5. Seriously IMO, paying so much more for the NEX-5 is a bit crazy. The IR remote I would say 99% ppl wont use 1. Magnesium body doesn't serve any purpose on a small non weather sealed compact camera anyway. N most ppl dont own 1080 TVs so whats the point of the 1080 cam? QUOTE(destfull @ Jul 11 2010, 11:49 PM) 1Q, can Nex flash trigger F58? U can always use optical triggers wat. Then set the F58 power manually la. come someone create hotshoe adapter for nex.. so we all can use our weird F58! Added on July 11, 2010, 11:50 pm i think they just change the firmware kot.. haha |

Oh maaaaaaaaan. If this guy can DIY 1, I really hope there's a proper commercially available unit soon for my Canon lenses. I'd love to have my 16-35mm f2.8L II on the NEX with full AF ability.

Don't use flash la. NEX can easily do iso1600 n still looks ok at 3200.

U fellas wiping CMOS n CCD sensors with cloths n what nots must be insane.
Where go ppl simply take cloth n rub 1? Even with sensorklear is risky and the service centers don't even recommend that we do it. |

Blower kena sensor n got smudge means kena plastic transference oredi. The plastic from the tip is probably burned in oredi. This is y the techies always say don't mess with cleaning sensor unless ur absolutely sure of what ur doing.

Those wide angle converters all bluff ppl 1. By the time u crop out the horrible vignetting, u end up with the same focal length as ur lens was meant to be.
