In Final Fantasy FFXI NA version they Implemented 3D-Secure to register your Credit Card (CC) to make payments.

If you are using Visa card it called Verified by VIsa and if you are using Mastercard they called it MasterCard SecureCode. You have to register this when you try to key in your CC in Playonline (FFXI program to manage you payment and etc). Even though you can register any credit card from any country. When you register you personal Information in Playonline, your address will be always in US. and cannot change. So unfortunately I register myself living in Rawang USA .. lol.

Some credit card have problem in registering, for my experience is my Maybank Visa CC.

Successfully register card was my MBF mastercard, but I have turn my name on card e.g.: Kassim Baba and write in the registration form as Baba Kassim. Then process was accepted.

U might wana review GTX480's temp... It's scary. Nvidia really lose badly in terms of temp, power consumption. Though they are more advance in technology but they are losing towards ati.. Ati full load time could only top 81 C. in idle it's only 35 C..

Due to current beta phase i believe when officially launch it shud fully support both. But i might drop 480 for 5970.. Nvidia is crazy to market such kind of high temp gpu =.=..

get gtx460 cheaper and cooler and i think good in SLI. Already selling in lowyat. my 5 cent

I'm just budgeting .. no planning to spend it yet.

new cpu CORE i7 930 RM955 need socket 1366

so need new mobo the most cheapest for 1366 (I prefer Gigabyte) GIGABYTE EX58A-UD3R | X58-CF-SLI-RESGL RM799

because the layout of the ram need 3x ram so have to buy another cheap KINGSTON PC667 D2 - RM130

new GPU as planned; Gigabyte GTX460 1Gig ram = around RM800 maybe

new mobo means new software needed; MS WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE ( OEM ) RM620 & KASPERSKY INT. SECURITY 2010 1U RM70

RM 955 + RM799 + RM130 + RM800 + RM620 + RM70 = RM3374

OK see you guys in March .. I'm buying the PS3 version .....

Final Fantasy is a different story. It has a certain quality.

I played FFXI way back in 2002, stopped and picked it up again in 2009.
It was still as refreshing as ever! FFXI has given me a "sense of achievement".
No other game commands you to do special quests to break the level cap, no other game pits you against your class to get the max level.
Aion has been a total horrible experience for me~ AND every game that revolves itself with PvP.
(Sorry, I've been through WoW, War, etc... all the same scenario, rebalancing skills took away the fun of the game, too much whines/cries/nerfs).

I already have enough "PvP" in real life, I dont need anymore playing my game tongue.gif
*
This only my assumption, WoW very popular in US because of PvP. I think this is because kids in US like to bully or got bully and let go their anger in games like this hehehehe. my 2 cent. rclxm9.gif

When SE said they gonna release FF14, I read the will some adaptation from WoW and AoC. What I can see it now in BETA, the battle system almost like AoC and with the high detail of graphic boost. and GUI is more friendly like than FF11, and like in WoW you can customize/move around stuffs in the screen.

Is there any possibility that FF14 will;

1. Make Instance like WoW ?
2. Customize stuffs like using add-on such as you get from curse.com?

first of all i stay in jb, my prime time playing were day & night, maybe not every night. was there a NA prime time n JP prime time? how you differ it? ^^ w

well i don't really quite understand what u try to tell me but, it seem like you have problem playing at ffxi where you get alot of jp only things along with looking for people for quest and mission.

my ffxi pt exping (only) i don't really sit n wait for people to shout only to get into a group, i build my own group, maybe there was like a couple of us who want to exp now, i will just do a shout or check out the people who is seeking, if you want a jp guy to join your group at least get a couple jp inside so they don't really get bored. sometimes i get reply with jp only, and i will reply them there is a couple jp members inside n they usually will say yes to u coz if they still jp only to u.. it's their lost w.. i don't really care.

for mission and quest, we will try to get most of english speaking people coz we need discuss strategy unless the jp dude is dead sure know what his/her role. that's why you can see jp people tend to pick up jp people for quest/mission only. everytime you see a shout in the jp msg, they usually stated at what time, what date so they not really make the pt right away except for exping. i met alot of NA bad seed... but not really all NA were that bad.. there is still alot of good one out there.

for us, yup everyone can post small events at forum, stated date and time. this is jsut to let everyone know in advance so they can prepare. only big events are decide by that event leader, usually it is done in weekends, sat & sun. i got talk with my friends about my intention on this forum recruiting more gmt+8 people into the ls. if we can come out with more members from asian, we will probably set up big events that is more friendly time for asian region, n for those people who on na region who able to make it, just hop in.

i dunno but seems like some of u having some really trying to enjoy ffxi. don't let the past haunt u w.. i think ffxiv will be more easier game than ffxi. some of my frens are currently in the beta, from their feedback it is very quite a different game but.. we all dunno the end-game yet ^^

if you have conflict with the people in the ls, you can take it out n talk openly, what's the problem. if you don't like this guy or got big problem, treated unfair or what then just leave the ls, what kind of attitude is that? ^^ or you said being kick out by ls, come on.. if you doing something when everyone think it is wrong and try not to change, how you expect us to help u? secondly we rarely kick people out of the ls, it is just a rule to protect the ls from breaking up. we ultimately don't want an ass-hole in a ls. so before you even join, you oledi scare this n that.. ww in all respect, how you gonna success in life? ^^ everything need to take risk only to know the outcome, just take is as an experience. this is like in real life, you go to work, you don't like your workplace, just quit and find another one. ^^

i'm actually trying to combine another ls which is more casual to play together but this is yet final. my plan was to this ls the strongest NA ls around. we still dunno who going to take the most undesirable position (main ls leader) but will soon to know. it will be voted by all the officer when the ls is in final. events leader will be decide after 70% of the ls members rdy for eng-game. we have people who will work on point system now and still experiencing a better point system, n still looking for people to make a forum as the old one is dead. remember this is not yet an official end-game ls due to when we play we still need to exping this n that, doing quest n mission. i'm just trying to give you all a picture what our ls will be or sharing my ls experience which i think every ls should be in the end-game.

i don't really care much about this game, but to be able going back playing again with friends on a game we all likes, that is just awesome. this is how i want to be for you n me. i know everyone have their own time n stuff like that, it is unavoidable. that's why i'm trying to gather more people to play so we don't really have to cling on each other.

actually i rather hope, at least, in this forum we can make a m'sian group up first. coz looking at the list, still not a bad list ww. ^^One people who is interest to join my ls, you can pm me first. as for details, i will sort it out n e-mail back to u when close to the release date.

Nowadays I prefer to xping solo in FFXI, I don't LFP or accept invite to party. I'm so happy soloing xp because I get off from pc anytime or take a rest and read manga for 5 mins or so, I'm not that casual player. If I like the game so much I play it 15hours or so a day. So when I play FFXIV I probably soloing all the time but yet I prefer to be in chatty LS, making jokes, talking about silly stuffs sometimes and with full of dramas.

I did not sleep well, though my bed was comfortable enough, for I had all sorts of queer dreams. There was a dog howling all night long under my window, which may have had something to do with it; or it may have been the paprika, for I had to drink up all the water in my carafe, and was still thirsty. Towards morning I slept and was wakened by the continuous knocking at my door, so I guess I must have been sleeping soundly then. I had for breakfast more paprika, and a sort of porridge of maize flour which they said was ‘mamaliga,’ and egg-plant stuffed with forcemeat, a very excellent dish, which they call ‘impletata.’ (Mem., get recipe for this also.) I had to hurry breakfast, for the train started a little before eight, or rather it ought to have done so, for after rushing to the station at 7.30 I had to sit in the carriage for more than an hour before we began to move. It seems to me that the further East you go the more unpunctual are the trains. What ought they to be in China?

All day long we seemed to dawdle through a country which was full of beauty of every kind. Sometimes we saw little towns or castles on the top of steep hills such as we see in old missals; sometimes we ran by rivers and streams which seemed from the wide stony margin on each side of them to be subject to great floods. It takes a lot of water, and runningstrong, to sweep the outside edge of a river clear. At every station there were roups of people, sometimes crowds, and in all sorts of attire. Some of them were just like peasants at home or those I saw coming through France and Germany, with short jackets and round hats and home-made trousers; but others were very picturesque. The women looked pretty, except when you got near them, but they were all very clumsy about the waist. They had all full white sleeves of some kind or other, and most of them had big belts with a lot of strips of something fluttering from them like the dresses in a ballet, but of course petticoats under them. The strangest figures we saw were the Slovaks, who are more barbarian than the rest, with their big cowboy hats, great baggy dirty-white trousers, white linen shirts, and enormous heavy leather belts, nearly a foot wide, all studded over with brass nails.

They wore high boots, with their trousers tucked into them, and had long black hair and heavy black moustaches. They are very picturesque, but do not look prepossessing. On the stage they would be set down at once as some old Oriental band of brigands. They are, however, I am told, very harmless and rather wanting in natural self-assertion. It was on the dark side of twilight when we got to Bistritz, which is a very interesting old place. Being practically on the frontier—for the Borgo Pass leads from it into Bukovina—it has had a very stormy existence, and it certainly shows marks of it. Fifty years ago a series of great fires took place, which made terrible havoc on five separate occasions. At the very beginning of the seventeenth century it underwent a siege of three weeks and lost 13,000 people, the casualties of war proper being assisted by famine and disease.
Count Dracula had directed me to go to the Golden Krone Hotel, which I found, to my delight, to be thoroughly oldfashioned, for of course I wanted to see all I could of the ways of the country. I was evidently expected, for when I got near the door I faced a cheery-looking elderly woman in the
usual peasant dress—white undergarment with long double apron, front and back, of coloured stuff fitting almost too tight for modesty. When I came close she bowed, and said: ‘The Herr Englishman?’ ‘Yes,’ I said, ‘Jonathan Harker.’ She smiled, and gave some message to an elderly man in white shirt-sleeves, who had followed her to the door. He went, but immediately returned with a letter:—

‘My Friend,—Welcome to the Carpathians. I am anxiously expecting you. Sleep well to-night. At three to-morrow the diligence will start for Bukovina; a place on it is kept for you. At the Borgo Pass my carriage will await you and will bring you to me. I trust that your journey from London has been a happy one, and that you will enjoy your stay in my beautiful land.—Your friend, ‘Dracula.’

(○°ε°○) Sorry I want to do long post too but no idea tongue.gif Sorry for wasting your time to read this m(_ _)m

I will play at PC first but then.. I will change to PS3 when release, because will let my gf play the PC version instead. She not really good using PS controller to play FF, very slow respond. ww

I will get ps3 version too, but I will sell the acc. or give to my nephew. No dualboxing to me, only can concentrate on one XD. I think/hoping ps3 can play like PC (I will use with controller like ffxi) since I can attach usb keyboard/mouse to ps3.

"Personal Right of Passage
Who doesn't like being told they're awesome? Better yet, why not have a certificate mailed to you so you can frame it and show it off to your friends? Nothing says "I was there at release and went for the CE" more than a nifty looking certificate, presumably of your first created character.

Hopefully you're still playing him/her when looking back longingly at it three years later!" - from ffxiv core

A certificate .. wow like a birth certificate for you character XD

Exclusive FFXIV interview with Square Enix by FFXIVCore
http://www.ffxivcore.com/topic/11066-gamescom-2010-coverage/

Here I read a that

"Regarding auctionhouses:
Regarding Final Fantasy XIV and the market battle system is something we would like to consider the equilevent to the auction house we had in Final Fantasy XI. Only that you'll also be able to fix your equipment and things like that. It is something we really want people to enjoy. Also after the release of the game we will see how it goes and for example find out what kind of search options players will want and need and improve the situation. We don't really want to introduce the auctionhouse from the beginning because that is going to determine the economy system. So we want to improve it slowly and adjust it accordingly."

No Auction House yet? so how to buy? from retainer .. ouch .. so many retainer...

Concerning the direction of this game; is Guildleve's the standard to level in regards to FFXIV? It was heavily advertised in several locations and there seems to be an overall disgruntled feeling towards its 48 hour cooldown. Is this part of the limit implemented for the beta, or is this intention for the release? Is straight-mob grinding going to the primary source of experience gains for FFXIV?
One of the reasons for the current design is that it's fine if you're playing solo. If you have more time however, we feel that there's a lot of guildleves to experience with other people in groups, while yourself might not have the guildleve, you can still join other peoples guildleves. Currently though most feel there's not enough benefit to group up and as such do the guildleves solo instead. We are working on adressing that so group play will be more encouraged, so maybe either you get more skillpoints for example. Basically we're trying to adjust it so that people do guildleves with other people.

But the 48 hours cooldown is going to stay?
Yes that is the current plan. In the future we might adjust it but we want to make it in such a way that the 48 hours cooldown makes sense, so currently we're focusing on adjusting it in that way.

Well this part I not that understand, but doesn't it mean if you play solo you can play only every 2 days?
