muahaha..afraid of scratch? simple thing..ask those who COD-ed/purchased..
Photos taken by DSLR and photos taken by compact camera is definitely different.
Nevertheless, there are many other options out there other than case-mate and epikcase.
It's all personal preference notworthy.gif

Got myself a capdase softjacket. Personally, I don't quite like it, beside the fact tht it is cheaper I don't see any reason for me to reco. it to u guys.

Might get "barely there" in the short future.

Again, thts only my personal preference smile.gif no mean to offend anyone.

other than this type of case, is there any good carrying case? I prefer something like the pouch bundled with nexus one, where you slide your phone in... Something like those golla brand for iphone... So far haven't seen any in the market....

i got epikcase initially, but don't like the fact that it will become oily. probably will let it go at lelong price. haha...

so i got case-mate barely there, love the material and the soft rubber surface.

exactly what I faced. Altho it's aoduct but the material makes it oily after a day's use, and when the oil transfers to the screen is like. nasty. hehe

which one you got? I am also expecting my Epik hard case to arrive today. I ordered the Epik Snap-on hard case and a clear screen protector. My Desire has been without a screen protector for few days already.

I like the grossy look better. Some matte SP user also mention it may give a rainbow effect. I will make sure my hand not oily before I lay my fingers on it... laugh.gif But when talking on the phone, hard to not leave my face touch the screen and leave some marks. sweat.gif Any solution to this?

Ya, u re right, this will cause our Desire AMOLED useless, tongue.gif , I read the discussion, they say Matte SP will make ur screen look older with faded look. That I no yet decide which SP i wan to buy, still researching. biggrin.gif Haha, use the speaker or hand free, I think the Bluetooth hand free is the good solution for u thumbup.gif

wait later tonight see whether I receive my Epik case or not then i test it with the pouch. Coz I dun think with an additional case, the Desire can fit into the pouch.

I got it from Spore. If many of you want that, maybe I can do a small bulk order from Spore. I got another cute handphone strap from the same seller. The back of the "Droid" have a black cloth to wipe the screen.

The pouch is S$9, so about RM21.60. The handphone strap is S$6.50, about RM15.60. I just tested with the Epik case fixed, can still slot in the Desire but quite tight, not easy to put in/take out.

Note: keying in this with my HTC....lol...

There is some defect on the casing but I am still waiting the seller's decision to give me a replacement.  Do you guys think it is fair for me to pay the postage for the replacement if the case i received is defective?  sweat.gif

how badly damaged is the case and how much you paid for it? if it's rather expensive and the postage is not that expensive, why not?

your pics making me wanting the pouch even more...after a while the pouch should loosen a bit...should make a much better fit...

as for the android cleaner pad, how good is it?

Just asking, recently my bf bought a silicon cover for this desire. Apparently, the temperature of the phone / battery increase by 3 degrees if that thing is on and the battery life drains very much faster. Any of u guys have that problem?

Do you have the same settings, with before you put on the silicon cover ? I don't see any related to external factor will cause the battery to drain faster.
Temperature increase might be continue syncing by some apps or some apps is running behind which uses the processor.

Nope. The setting is the same. We took the silicon cover out for 10 minutes, its temperature decrease by 3 degrees. When i put it back in, it increases by 3 degrees. I didnt do anything, its in locked mode (except when i look at the temperature.

guess it's the cover causing the ventilation to be less than ideal then
yeah it's normal for battery life to be reduced faster at elevated temp
keep it at nice air cond room of 25 and you can see it draining a lil slower

I am just wondering is it because of the quality of the silicon cover? I mean, i don't know is it a barely there or a normal silicon cover, its a very hard case. Does anyone have the same problem? Do u have any problems with ur casings?

anyone already got and tried Case-mate Tough Case for Desire? The status at case-mate web site is still "coming soon" but I noticed there 3 5-stars user reviews. So I follow the link and apparently it is actually being sold at ebay. Further google show that actually lelong.com.m also has member selling it.

Lelong case-mate tough case.

I have been using Torque case, but been taking it out almost 60 % ofthe time, as my work pants and certain tight pants like jeans made it quite difficult for me to slot in or take out my phone. Gonna get Barely there, issit smooth? because torque is quite nice that its quite grippy which gives me problem inserting n taking it out.

Got my Case-mate Tough series today, some pictures:

In my worn out Golla case, kinda too short for the macho Tough Desire now.  Looking for a similar but bigger pouch now.  These kind of pouch is good for facilitating you to put in and take out from your pant easily.  It also adds an additional protection from dust.
user posted image

My little observations on the Tough Case-mate:
1.  The silicone inner portion will attract dust like normal silicon case.
2.  The outer plastic has a very good feel and won't attract dust/lint.  The feel is exactly like what you have for luxury car dashboard kind of rubber (the best description i can think of  laugh.gif )
3.  It will add bulkiness to the slim Desire but I like the macho'ness it bring instead.  I think it is more suitable for guys.

my previous Epik case is similar to barely there. I find it covers not enough of the Desire, especially the top and bottom parts. So I prefer the all round protection of Tough series, especially the inner silicon layer cover the power and volume buttons completely, good for situation when your hand is a little wet and it completely keep the dust away.

I can live with the "bulkiness" and personally i find the Desire more attractive with the macho look the bulkiness brings. thumbup.gif

I just got my CM Barely There today.

I was using CAPDASE silicon cover as well previously which I bought for RM35. Pressing the side volume button and power button seemed kinda hard. Plus I find it quite hard to fit into the Desire. I was worried that cases like these will scratch the phone. When I got it my CM today, I used a pair of scissors to cut the CAPDASE open so that I can take it out easily.

CM Barely There makes the phone looks totally sleek plus I can easily access to the power button and side volume button.

However there's one thing that that I wish they could've improved on is the height of the case. I find that the height is somewhat insufficient to cover the front screen. If it's slight a bit 'higher' then it could prevent the screen from scratches if you put the phone screen down.

wow... not bad the pouch but it is more suitable for leisure. I need a not so casual one for bringing to work. Maybe I will ask the tailor to special make one according to the Golla bag design.

I have gone to Popular to search for a pouch too but can't find any suitable one.
