Just asking, recently my bf bought a silicon cover for this desire. Apparently, the temperature of the phone / battery increase by 3 degrees if that thing is on and the battery life drains very much faster. Any of u guys have that problem?
*
Do you have the same settings, with before you put on the silicon cover ? I don't see any related to external factor will cause the battery to drain faster.
Temperature increase might be continue syncing by some apps or some apps is running behind which uses the processor.

Nope. The setting is the same. We took the silicon cover out for 10 minutes, its temperature decrease by 3 degrees. When i put it back in, it increases by 3 degrees. I didnt do anything, its in locked mode (except when i look at the temperature.

guess it's the cover causing the ventilation to be less than ideal then
yeah it's normal for battery life to be reduced faster at elevated temp
keep it at nice air cond room of 25 and you can see it draining a lil slower

I am just wondering is it because of the quality of the silicon cover? I mean, i don't know is it a barely there or a normal silicon cover, its a very hard case. Does anyone have the same problem? Do u have any problems with ur casings?

anyone already got and tried Case-mate Tough Case for Desire? The status at case-mate web site is still "coming soon" but I noticed there 3 5-stars user reviews. So I follow the link and apparently it is actually being sold at ebay. Further google show that actually lelong.com.m also has member selling it.

Lelong case-mate tough case.

I have been using Torque case, but been taking it out almost 60 % ofthe time, as my work pants and certain tight pants like jeans made it quite difficult for me to slot in or take out my phone. Gonna get Barely there, issit smooth? because torque is quite nice that its quite grippy which gives me problem inserting n taking it out.

Just receive my Case-mate Tough case. Fixed on my Desire and it feel so macho now. Absolutely no regret, much better than the Epik case I have now. But can't really fit nicely into my Golla pouch. will post some picture later. laugh.gif

Got my Case-mate Tough series today, some pictures:

Back - the slight discolouring in the photo maybe due to dirty len of my camera.  The real thing is perfectly black and great.

Top - I overexpose in photoshop to see the cut-out clearly.

Bottom  - I also overexpose this.

In my worn out Golla case, kinda too short for the macho Tough Desire now.  Looking for a similar but bigger pouch now.  These kind of pouch is good for facilitating you to put in and take out from your pant easily.  It also adds an additional protection from dust.

My little observations on the Tough Case-mate:
1.  The silicone inner portion will attract dust like normal silicon case.
2.  The outer plastic has a very good feel and won't attract dust/lint.  The feel is exactly like what you have for luxury car dashboard kind of rubber (the best description i can think of  laugh.gif )
3.  It will add bulkiness to the slim Desire but I like the macho'ness it bring instead.  I think it is more suitable for guys.

my previous Epik case is similar to barely there. I find it covers not enough of the Desire, especially the top and bottom parts. So I prefer the all round protection of Tough series, especially the inner silicon layer cover the power and volume buttons completely, good for situation when your hand is a little wet and it completely keep the dust away.

I can live with the "bulkiness" and personally i find the Desire more attractive with the macho look the bulkiness brings. thumbup.gif

I just got my CM Barely There today.

I was using CAPDASE silicon cover as well previously which I bought for RM35. Pressing the side volume button and power button seemed kinda hard. Plus I find it quite hard to fit into the Desire. I was worried that cases like these will scratch the phone. When I got it my CM today, I used a pair of scissors to cut the CAPDASE open so that I can take it out easily.

CM Barely There makes the phone looks totally sleek plus I can easily access to the power button and side volume button.

However there's one thing that that I wish they could've improved on is the height of the case. I find that the height is somewhat insufficient to cover the front screen. If it's slight a bit 'higher' then it could prevent the screen from scratches if you put the phone screen down.
