Hey guys...not sure if it's been organised before but how does a gathering of Android OS users sound?

Venue ...ermm, probably somewhere that has a Mac store?

I guess wanna copy the idea like what the iphone community did by having a gathering.

I don't mind joining if it's in KL. Specficially, my motivation of going would be to ask someone knowledgeable who has rooted their HTC Legend.

I was thinking how to make the gathering more worthwhile for all and at the end of the day, have some contribution to this part of forum too. I think i have yet to see benchmark scores of Android phones. I guess among us we have a good mixture of different phones and probably we can compile benchmark scores on each devices using benchmark apps from Marketplace.

Interesting..seems like quite a bit of interest. I guess the venue is up to everyone to propose (ie. although I would still prefer it to be outside a Mac store just for kicks..heh)....and also preferably in the Klang Valley.

I guess, also to make the gathering more appealing, perhaps we can coordinate a series of activities for the benefit of the attendees..like for instance, maybe Shahz can share with us his knowledge on rooting, etc. Or probably suppliers/sellers can also participate so that those who want to get their hands on an Android handset can also do so at the gathering...I would probably give away some Nexus One screen protectors, which I've overstocked, to the first few people I meet.

Again..all these are just suggestions...If you guys would just like to have a simple meeting instead and talk droid, without all the frills, by all means....talk about food...or cubing...or whatever.
