QUOTE(celciuz @ Jul 14 2010, 04:00 PM) Below RM400, no lens can beat this 50mm in terms of IQ. lol it's the cheapest lens in the market out there also hahhaa so definitely no other lens can beat it at that price range cause there's nothing to compare it with

Not really obvious on crop sensors, but if used on FX can see the differences clearly.

thnkas for the reply regarding the lens flare. after revisiting the place where i shot the photos with the flares and set up my camera like when i was shooting there i found the culprit to be a light bulb that was hidden in my view finder. so thanks all for the answers. i am now shooting without filters.
another question, i was offered an assignment, the pay is low but there is a catch to it. i have to choose a lens under rm500 (which is paid by the client) for the assignment and after the assignment i can keep the lens if they like the pictures if not i cant keep the lens but still get paid.
so i am thinking of the 70-300mm AF G lens since i will be shooting from from a spectator point of view of a show which is stage on an open air stage that is about 5 meters high.
anyone here think the lens is a good lens for the job or is there any other lens in that price bracket that can do the job better.
