this doesn't cause by hidden charges... it is android issue and i guess all android version designed to be like that.. the network connection will connect automatically even though u didn't connect any web or sync data or FB.. well, android based mobile considered as smartphone, so in order to full use the features, data line is recommended.. else, the 1st way is not using smartphone.. the other way avoid charges is disable wap or change the IP setting..Back then when I was just making normal calls, I used Digi for half a year.
